Everyone off contract has been off contract for nine months. Their contact money could already have been spent on extensions and upgrades for other players. You’d assume they haven’t spent Hodgson’s 2024 money yet, but they have signed Lussick until 2025, and he won’t be on minimum salary from next year. I’m sure they’ll have some money to spend - they only have 25 merkins (plus Hodgson makes 26) contracted for next year. But Blake’s money would’ve been reallocated back in November when we decided not to offer him an extension. We had some big retentions we needed to sort out and his money would’ve been redirected there.

Thats not what happened. We lost Lyon,J. Cayless,PJ marsh, A.Ryan Loko and a bunch of young juniors all coming thru where getting pinched.
Dennis who put so much effort in our juniors and club championship only to be constantly mocked about only winnings Nsw cup and under 20s. Eventually he went f**k this. Stopped ✋️ And said we are just developing kids for everyone else to poach. We will just do the same and invest in poaching or buying ready made first graders.
It sucked by I can understand why also.

Penrith may do the same if it keeps happening to them. They are just lucky they've had success while losing gun players otherwise they'd fire up a lot more also.
