My little birds tell me they have special equipment the emulates high altitudes. Unsure if true. I have no source. Just little birds. But it is a rumours thread so I guess its fine.

f**k u

There are places that have high altitude rooms, where you can train in the same conditions as if you were in one of this high places.

There’s a gym around the corner from me that has one of those rooms.

The Warriors have been OK, made a few finals over the years and had some pretty shit years as well. Will they have enough resources for 2 teams (other than a stadium with a roof) ?

I'm not sure.

I mentioned PNG being a new market (and catchment) and a new Kiwi team has an existing limited market and catchment so they may have to reply on other Pacific Island countries RU players.

Personally I dont see them being competitive.

Old man I just don't have the time to write more then you are way off the pace as usual and can't see the big picture past your nose.

No offense.

I've heard that ( won't mention clubs name) but a very successful side takes their team to higher altitudes. Apparently the air is thinner so harder to breathe which increases fitness. Apparently lots of athletes go to the snowy mountains to train.
Does anyone know if we do similar with our squad?

We need to take them to Everest to have any chance of fixing our defensive limitations it would seem.

Baldy must take them down mining shafts by the looks of things.

Altitude training definitely is a thing which helps with oxygen uptake efficiency due to adapting to limited oxygen in higher altitudes (which improves endurance). Our snowy mountains aren’t high enough to have that much of an effect. Would need to go overseas.

I'm pretty sure that you need to live and train at min 2500m.

Can you even do that in Australia ?

Falls Creek sells itself as having altitude training in the summer but its <checks notes> 1600m. So you might be throwing you money down the drain. Maybe NZ ?

I did a training day at Redfern oval with Souths’s head trainer I reckon close to 10 years ago and they had an altitude chamber training room inside their gym back then.

I’d assume they are pretty stock standard these days.
