I am going to deny we have a strong core of players. Most of our current players are either ageing, regressing or just flat out reserve graders. With the decline due to age of most of our core players along with their long term contracts we are going to be in a world of pain for some time.

@hindy111 predicted all those 4 year deals on aging players would hurt us big time. Mr 85% was right as usual. Our culture sucks, our two co club captains went to market and squeezed us for all we were worth. But but but but but but we don't pay overs supposedly.

I was truly interested, because for me, I genuinely see dark, dark days ahead.

I think we still have two talented halves and Lomax. A lot of our future will be decided on how well and fast Blaize,Boods develop. That could transform us into a great spine.
We'll also see Guymer,Brazel,Tuivati,R.Penisini and AMS all pushing or playing in the next year or so. How good they will be is unknown.

The best part will be having money to spend and position available I guess in 2yrs. Maybe sooner if we move guys on.
Sides like the Bulldogs have stacked their juniors and signed stars in the NRL. If we are smart We'll pay their best young kids slightly overs to come across as their pathways get blocked.

I'd be having a plan for 2026/2027.

good to see Brazel and Pryke in Cup this week, we really need to give some of the flegg forward a shot in cup.

yeah i dont think gutho has much left

moses, i think we are hitting his peak. we're going to see some elite halfback play over the next 5 years

theres 16 players off contract at the end of 25 including guys like RCG, Cartwright, Lussik, Joe O etc

we got some decent young players on the up

i really do believe with guys like Moses, Brown, Penisini, Lomax, Hopgood etc we can compete
