They roasted the clubs roster management , and the contracts given to ageing players and stated that Ryles has a massive job to make the club competitive. Braith even said that he has found out that Moses also has an option in his contract, and basically questioned why there were options everywhere.

Said how can they move any players on given they are basically overpaid and coming to the end of their careers and not performing. Hopefully that comes to the attention of the hierarchy and they take action to reset that area.

Understand that the Chairman and CEO confirm that the contracts do not breach the salary cap, but the actual terms are made by the HOF and the player’s manager and signed by the player and HOF.

We basically had him signed for 2020 before he did his ACL in 2019 and decided to take up his player option and remain in Melbourne for rehab. The club has known for years we needed better onfield leadership and he was one we were after for that role.
