Basically, if the defensive line in front of the fullback increases their efficiency then it means less pressure on the fullback. Confident Ryles and Moa understand that and will do a fair bit of work on spacing and positioning, which never really improved as it should have done .
Pressure is now on the R&R duo to get cracking, sign players critical to improving the roster, the next few weeks are critical ahead of training resuming full tilt.

While we were awful with him off the field, it’s not like we were great with him on it either

Your position on the R&R duo is well documented. They can only try to get what is available on any given day and that situation is always fluid. They might be better off waiting to see what happens in the next few months of the silly season.

However, Gutho will always go down in my memory as a Hindmarsh/Price type warrior. Always gave 100% for our club and went above and beyond when it counted.
Absolute club legend.
I'll miss him and it will be strange seeing him in another club jersey.

@Joshuatheeel has found out he's an 18 year old half/hooker who's already played 3 games of QCup for the Tweed Seagulls. Surprised the titans didn't have him signed up, it'd be odd for a non-NRL affiliated 18 year old who's played reserve grade to not have a contract somewhere.

I wonder how much those painful negotiations are a byproduct of his competitiveness. It’s an unfortunate fact that professionalism, and especially under a salary cap, pits the players against the club. This is why I tend to hate the merkins. They can all f**k off.

And probably a byproduct of us not being able to offer 3rd party deals to shut him and his manager up.

Yeah, maybe D6 this year moving into T30 the year after. If we don't sign another hooker it may he a combination of Smith and Hudson in NSW cup. Whatever we go with it appears NSW cup will be starting the year with a very young spine
