I was looking forward to seeing Drown under a new coach and structures... All this crap with the contract renewal and PO that's flared up on the eve of the season opener and could be hanging around for weeks until round 10 (FFS)... He can f**k off and f**k off quickly AFAIC

Pity. Have thought for years that he should be our long term leader. His space cadet intellect and our clubs moronic shaping of his contract through to 2031 has resulted in a cluster f**k of a situation.

But you know what they say..... Whatever happens Parra did the right thing....

I’ll honestly be very surprised if he walks away from his guaranteed deal. Time will tell, obviously. If they don’t want to be here, so be it. Next!
Yeah, I agree.
So far we have heard zero/zilch/nadda from Brown himself and all the reactions are to media posts 6 weeks out from tour first game with nothing else to write about.

But at least the media is getting outrage they want.

Brown is 24, and made his debut at age 18.

Is he a bit of a bimbo? Yes.

Is that typical of his generation? You bet.

Is some of the criticism he's copping here warranted? Sure.

Is a lof of the criticism he's copping here a little over the top? Well...

Brown owes the club because the club stood by him when he made those dumb life decisions.

However, this is also Brown's career, and given it was the club who signed off on the ridiculous deal he is on now...well, I mean, who is really at fault, here?

Brown has every right to squeeze every last dollar out of a club that he can.

I know I would kill for more money from my employer.

non issue the 1.2m
that is for him to leave us not we are paying

also didn MON say they basically told his manager to go to market to gauge his market value and then comeback so get this sorted before season starts .. suspect this all has to do with removing PO

Seems to me he is happy and will only entertain leaving on massive change in income not just a small amount

i also think with a potential up tempo play , no gutho taking play making options from him away and Iongi being a support / hole runner brown is up for a big season especially if we can rely on tct training reports kelma looking like having a big season so brown will have threats all around him to be lethal

Luai shits on Brown. It’s not even a contest.
Browns game hasn't improved since he was 18, in some respects it's gone backwards.

A damning indictment on that bald fraud of a coach, why bother upskilling our gun young half when he had super jakey coming through........... He wouldn't or couldn't and both mean an absolute failure on his part.

From what I observed yesterday, it appears at this stage our likely starting 13 is close to locked

Iongi
Russell
Penisini
Lomax
JAC
Brown
Moses
Paulo
Hands
*** up for grabs ***
Kelma
Williams
Hopgood

Whilst I’d say Joffa probably has one hand on the role, I’d say that is the only spot still up for grabs

think 3 of the bench spots however are up for grabs, with Matto the only lock in

honestly, he doesn’t deserve the criticism. Our club allowed the situation to happen. We are the ones that put the clauses in his contract and agreed to it. Fingers shouldn’t be pointed at Dylan it should be pointed at the absolute idiots in charge. They have NFI. Dylan is doing what we have allows in his contract and he’s fully entitled to it.

saying that I really hope he goes. We are over paying and I can’t believe we are locked in with this overrated fraud for 10 years. He’s way to too inconsistent in his game for us to miss him. He’s a passenger.

Even walking around at training he’s a space cadet. I know it’s just his personality clearly, but he just never seems fully switched on - ever.

Put down some easy balls in passing drills as well and just has zero voice on the field

I don’t think he is a passenger - he really puts in on defense. He just isn’t all that good with the ball skills. He is a pretty good runner. An above average first grader. To me he has always been a player without a proper position. He would have probably been a good lock back when they were like a hybrid between a half and a forward.

Yeah agree, I stand corrected. His defence is awesome. If his attack was as good as his attack we’d have ourselves a player. Honestly he’d probably more suited to Lock. Either way we are overpaying and it’s our own bloody fault.

it would be an absolute God send if another club would take him.

I hope Dylan goes. He’s just above average as a player. I’m not angry white him shopping himself around. He’s fully entitled to do it because the absolute morons in charge agreed to those terms. They are the ones that should be sacked. Amateur hour.
He would be shopping himself around with or without the player options. They will only come into play if he activates them.
