How the ghosts of Galvin prompted Parramatta’s Pezet deal

Adrian Proszenko

When Lachlan Galvin turned down the chance to join Parramatta last season, the decision was all the more painful for the club because they should never have let him leave in the first place.
The Eels tried to buy back the farm after deciding Galvin, who always dreamed of wearing the blue and gold, wasn’t up to it while in their junior pathways system.

And how was Galvin going to be fitted in? So who of Moses and Brown were going to be moved on to accommodate Galvin? He could see the writing on the wall so moved on, the author of this article obviously can't see that so making stuff up.

Same with Talagi and Sanders. Talagi might’ve taken the fullback spot we offered but there was no room for him in the halves.

Do you read yours? I mentioned Talagi specifically. The reference to Galvin was to show that Blaize's management are not necessarily infallible themselves...but BA's shortcomings as a coach are obvious to the entire league world, even you.
He developed Drown into a $1.4M player and Downhill Moses into an Origin star. Even Gutho got a few games for the Blues despite limited talent. Yet you reckon Talagi’s standards are so high he wanted out? Looking forward to Cleary teaching him how to tackle. Maybe next year.

My mail is that we put an offer on the table for Pezet for 3 years and they looked at it seriously.

Brisbane came in with a better offer, but only starting 2027. We were asked would we consider a 1 year deal at a lesser price and given our hope for Lorenzo, et al, as future NRL players, we decided Pezet would be an improved short term solution over Footy Dean and Volkman.

Not sure that means we got played or that there is smoke being blown up anyone's ass with what is being said.
All sounds plausible. If Tommy Raudonikis or half these merkins were running the club, we would’ve told Pezet to stick his one year contract up his ort and wasted another year of Moses’ prime rebuilding with Papalii or Talataina in the 6.

Ok, I’m only going to allow myself to be pissed off about this until COB today. No point giving myself high blood pressure over it. Then I’m going to sit back and watch how it all plays out and hope like f**k it proves to be a master stroke. That’s it. Thankyou for your attention to this matter.

Yeah I can’t imagine it being anything else.
Not that I’m necessarily happy about it but unlike others on here, I reckon he’s coming for f**k all, although basically with the promise of starting NRL every week, which to be fair he will be our second best half

Agree - money would certainly come into it with both Donkeys and Dogs. TPAs would form a part of their deal I'd assume.
Think the debacle of 2016/2017 still possibly hangs over the club and the business community re TPAs, perhaps it’s time now to work hard around the traps of the second CBD which now stretches from Parramatta to Bella Vista. The coach is far more visible and with CommBank, the COE and a playing style which is more open it may be more attractive.

I'd even take Tino on a similar one year cuck deal like we took Pezet.
That makes more sense though. Tino is Origin level premiership winner (that feels a million years ago). He may not give you the 110% unless the team overall is a genuine chance, but you know his 90% is still better than pretty much any other player. Plus he’s a middle forward that are more plug and play than halves

If you watch the Anasta ^^ Youtube / Podcast, I think that the truth (as always) is somewhere in the middle.

1. We were the ones who were going to sign him on a 1 year loan deal.
2. He then got released as a free agent.
3. Yes we were interested in a long contract, but he sees himself as a 7.
4. Broncos came in with a 7 offer after Reynolds retires and we get him for the original 1 year.
5. Ryles and Pezet are tight.
6. We are getting him cheap.

Were we outplayed or he went to play with the premiers to be their guy at 7 ?

Yes, he did a Blaize and went for the better club cos he can play his preferred position, but he and his manager still respect what we are doing.
Proof we are getting him cheap ploise??

Anasta’s word now?? lol.

and who let you back in ffs!! @Twizzle do better ffs!!
