Agree but this is also a guy who has been a fringe first grader (at best) at four previous NRL clubs before this year and had only played a handful of games prior.

He could prove me wrong but it would not surprise me if he falls back into obscurity in the next 2 years.

Personally wouldn’t touch him.

At the moment we have a weaker roster than last season.
Lost an international, winger, possibly the best back up 7 in the NRL, and a NZ Intl 5/8

Depth in the forwards as players like Wiremu Greig, Brock Parker, Dan Keir, Joey Lussick,Brendan Hands also Lane, Cartwright, Joe O have moved on from the top 30.

All we have signed since the season ended is another distressed asset in De Bellin and a 1 year rental. There was a definite need for some experienced backs, a prop and others. Fingers crossed that things get across the line, as just waiting on younger less experienced players to come good quickly is a stretch. Fantastic if that’s actually the plan, have to wait and see.

None of them should be shat on, just like none of them should be talked up as infallible. I just want some measured discussion about the game, not this everyone-is-either-shit-or-amazing smoothbrain dichotomy this place always seems to sink into.
