If Peats wants too much then we don't have to sign IDG for 3 more years. Sign him for 1 and see how Pritchard goes.

If he's good for 2018 then let IDG go and sign a second string, if not look for a decent starting hooker and Pritchard keeps playing off the bench.

IDG has another year of top quality football left in him, no doubt.

I agree. But by the same token he wouldn't get a two year deal at gunpoint.

And arguably he is looking as good as he is because they are largely sharing the role between them all.

Anyway we have three good quality first grade options. That is genuine depth so we have options.

Not like the old days where we pretended we had depth in positions because realistically there were four or five blokes as good as each other but none of them actually genuine first graders. That was the pretend depth that sucked in a lot of faith and created massive disappointment
