Paul Kent on triple m says the nrl will make there decision on the eels this week. He thinks we will be heavily fined and lose at least 4 points. I hope he is wrong we are going well for once.

Of course he thinks there'll be a penalty... Kent's been writing loads of column inches against us, and will look like a fool if the NRL announces they've found nothing through this investigation - or only a minor technical TPA breach for Watmough, who hasn't even taken the field for us this year.

If we lose points it will make this season hard to follow.

It has been so painfull being an eels fan for the last 5 yrs. No real JOY. This would just be a huge kick in the guts.

Paul Kent I do not have much time for or listen to.
Hooper I find quite good. He seems open in his approach and not overly bias.

4 points is nothing Hindy. Just two close wins (or close losses).

It shouldn't "wreck" the season as much as people fear - especially when the team/squad is finally so confident and capable this year.

You'd be ok if Panthers were winning but they aren't looking great so it must be killing you.

4 points is Thurston putting on a try at the death to snatch that win from us, and Gordon missing two goals and Tedesco putting on a converted try to snatch that win from us.

Both could easily have happened, and would be the same result as a 4 points "deduction" - but we'd still be playing out of our skins this season and with big hopes of a finals appearance.

You can bet Brad Arthur won't let any points deduction get in the way of the confidence of this squad and its chances of achieving a result (finals football), and we as fans shouldn't over-catastrophise and let it get to us either :thumn.

Hopefully Parra fans won't fall in behind the warlords' agendas, and be easily led into worrying about off-field issues when we're actually going to have our first winning season for over half a decade!

It'll be f**ken exciting losing points and still making the finals. We'll stick it up the NRL and their unfair third party contract rules.

Yep, um, so what if we lose 4 points AND Thurston puts on a try at the death and Tedesco snatches a win from us? Or Penrith score a last play try from a cross-kick.

Whichever way you look at it, the loss of 4 points would be a major disadvantage. How many teams over the past few years have missed the finals by 4 or fewer points?

If that wasn't meant to be rhetorical, the answer is 8 over the last 3 years.
