In your day, they made them shovel the horse shit off the tracks, didn’t they? Hahaha
That's so spooky. I'm just watching Live Foxtel Thoroughbred races and seeing these poor horses being whipped to death down the final straight in scorching heat.....and what do they get out of it....grass.

NOFOALUMA’S TIGERS TRAINING DRAMA

Benji Marshall has found himself in a tough position in his first pre-season as an NRL coach with veteran winger David Nofoaluma reportedly refusing to come to training.

That is according to aSydney Morning Heraldreport which claims Nofoaluma hasn’t been to training since last Wednesday due to unfair treatment by the football department.

The 30-year-old has also lodged a complaint with the Rugby League Players’ Association and following a meeting between the RLPA, the Tigers and Nofoaluma he will return to training on Monday to try and resolve the issues.

The Herald reports Nofoaluma, who is one of the Tigers’ highest-paid players on $500,000 a season, struggled physically at training when he returned last month and recorded a disappointing time trial result.

The Tigers’ coaching staff are driving a new standard at training and haven’t shown Nofoaluma preferential treatment. He reportedly complained about lack of communication and training methods put in place to improve his fitness.

Nofoaluma has played 192 of his 198 NRL games with the Tigers over the last 11 seasons. He is the club's all-time leading tryscorer.

He has two years remaining on his contract but the club has been trying to offload him for the last two years. He played six games for the Storm in 2022 on a loan deal but returned to the Tigers for the 2023 season.

Nofoaluma was mainstay in the NRL side for majority of his career but has struggled to cement his spot on the wing over the last two seasons.
This shitshow is all over the news now, he has put the club into disrepute, he should be sacked?

“New Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall faces the first test of his career as one of his highest-paid players refuses to turn up to training over a perception of unfair treatment from the club.“

‘Nofoaluma reached his limit last week and complained about the communication between him and the football department, as well as the training methods that have been adopted to try and improve his fitness.’

Nofoaluma’s gripe with the Tigers relates to how he has been treated at training.

Nofoaluma struggled physically & with his fitness levels upon returning to pre-season training last month & was one of the team’s least impressive performers in a time trial.

If true, he might be making friends with the 2nd grade squad?
This nofo saga tells me Benji has already passed the test. Definately an important one if we want to get anywhere

Noffa throwing his weight around like a triple premiership winner just get rid of him already
This sounds like a story so they can get rid of him to make salary cap space. Luai, AFB?? Come on, do you think a player would be doing what has been reported.
Nofa has been a great player for the Tigers and is the highest tryscorer in the clubs history. How quick you are to turn on him.
This story reaks of desperation.

To many years of mediocrity WA. Something had to stop and in Noffa's case this just doesn't cut it I'm afraid.
One thing that the entire rugby league community can't deny is Benji's desire to win.... that's got to be a good thing for us moving forward.
Already some players are praising our assistant coach John Morris as he is changing a few things that are new to players.
I'm warming to all of this.

The best thing would be for Noffa to not return to training on Monday as stipulated between him and the club so the club can then sack him...which is an easy way to save 500k a year to go towards signing good players who want to train and not be above the club or fellow players.

Nah the blokes been disastrous for 2 years. We could get a board member to go on NRL 360 and publicly bag him like Brandy did with Josh Mansour, but we're a bit classier then that.

We should lodge a complaint for the shit we've had to endure of his not playing hard and letting in 600 tries. What a f**king baby. Tell him to piss off or play him in reggies all year.
