Well I know cousin Normy didn't take drugs, he didn't even drink grog that often, he was a fitness freak.
The only player I know that got caught up big time in serious stuff was Langlands.
Maninga-ex cop also vowed to sack anyone using coke or the like.
Clive Churchill
Reg Gasnier
Daly M
These are a few that I find hard to believe took drugs, not illicit ones anyway.

And of course we’ve sacked the Physio.

@macnaz and I have always held that a pre season without sacking the physio is not a proper pre-season.

Real and meaningful change in muscle memory and ligament dynamics can only be effectively implemented by a fresh pair of hands stimulating those subject internal bodily fluids and fibres.

From what I've been told coke wasn't around in big quantities like it is now, and players weren't paid nearly as much (over the counter anyway) plus they worked, so far less free time than the blokes have now. Still doesn't mean they didn't do dumb things .

My old man worked with plenty of footy players when he worked at the clubs in Ashfield. I always remember him telling me that Gill McDougall (Adams dad) would have gone on to bigger and better things, rep footy wise, if he wasn't such a clown on the drink.

Alcohol causes problems in the home, that's the only thing I don't like about it but illicit drugs users I have no time for.
If any players want to use it or doping they can kiss off.

Who's our sprint coach.
We need Olam to gain some metres, he's solid in the physicality department though.
As you get older speed is the first thing to notice that is lacking.

The only thing ? Domestic killings , suicide…If you want to kiss off all the current players that try drugs the nrl would need to swap the game for 7 a side. Remember these are kids with money to burn and temptations everywhere..more times than not I think it’s weather or not you get caught eg Ponga

Just coz mal was a cop doesn’t mean too much.. he could be a reformed smoker/ taker They are the loudest right? Drug takers never really give up

I think you’d be shocked at the prevalence of coke and grass in our society even at the top elite levels across the board including companies we deal with every day. I know that for a fact.

Ps: what happened to your wife on xmas day. She disappeared right?

I hope you haven't sacked the hot chick that sits in the coaches box. She was the best thing about watching Tigers games last year.

I get that league players are risk takers by nature....therefore a few would be prone towards giving illegal drugs a go.

Me personally, I just don't get it. To put a career with huge money on the line...whether you are a banker, politician or league player for the sake of a few lines of coke is pretty stupid. I don't care how many take coke.....all that do it are making a stupid decision. If I was a coach, I'd look to can those players myself. Remember, taking coke is ILLEGAL still.

I think Joey should come to terms with his drug history and hand back his immortality.

I notice you defend yourself to the death….prob something from your youth.. maybe forgive your old man ..better still read up on what’s happening in the world and do some exercise ..66 is young generally ..your level of obesity will add 20 years onto your age..it clogs the brain arteries as well

Pot is safer than cigarettes and alcohol, and I like alcohol.
Only reason it’s not legal is the government can’t control it and profit from it.
The other drugs can get in the bin.

Tevita Pangai Jnr walks away from a $700k+ plus deal to take up boxing has now been seen at Red Hill training.
Surely there seems to be some back scratching going on?
