I took the handcuffs off them and let them go home when the ban was lifted.

Handcuffs never hampered me, its was the redball in my mouth that was uncomfortable tho

Shane has the reputation for being brutal at the office level.

When he was at Penrith, he took to yelling and scaring the staff.

At Souths he sacked about a quarter of the staff when he came back after his ill-fated and failed attempt at sporting management.

He described it as bloated and ineffective.

It would be interesting to see what changes he is proposing, why and what outcome he is looking for.

There were some really bad stories about ticketed membership.

Under Lee and Co ticketed members were forcibly removed from the same seats they had been inhabiting for years. These folk had friends in the seat near them. They were dislocated too. Precious social relationships disrupted.

And their precious real estate sold for marked up prices to yuppies for a game or two.

And it was a stain on Pascoes career as he should have resigned over it.

Anyway:

The club is sending my members gear so we will have a forum unboxing when it arrives on the membership thread.

I will put it through the LU quality assurance test.

There was trouble with the IT when I registered, so I had to ring membership, which was picked up in about 2 rings. It was fixed, but it’s not the best intro.

Onwards and upwards.

I think the scholars amongst us will be focused as much on Benjis contribution to our defence as much, if not more, than our attack. I am not a fan of any predilection to one over the other. There’s got to be balance.

Although occasionally I have cause to miss ye old mid field battles.

Not to the extent of the infamous Manly v Melbourne days, but for grand finals, where Bellamy and Des became inspired by the union and tried to kill the game.

The defiling and denigration of the status of the corner post will never be forgiven. A rule change that will haunt me for eternity.

Best is committed to Newcastle in every way. Club, fans, the area etc. Any club would have had to offer an insane amount of money for him to consider leaving. The matter was never in our hands.
