The lad might be in a bit of bother.
If only he was a forward. At the Broncos….I’m thinking we could make an offer of some kind.
If he’s guilty, he can do his community service and serve his bond here in NSW.
Clean up the White Elephant.
Trade him on like we did momo to fill up the pack.

Not long ago it was ‘and other shit’. Literally for years!! It’s for general posts if you can’t be bothered hunting for the right one, if there is in fact a better one.... or if there’s a few punters on here already..that’s why it’s the most usedI just come to this thread hoping to hear about signings, sackings and other contract stuff.

Lots of forum use these threads for the news items.
Sounds to good to be true, BUT I hope it happens.
“arm manly with another weapon in their forward pack” What a croc of shit. The rugby league journos r deadset the lowest common denominator in journalismI just read this article which I think is from the DT. They are so full of shit but he'd be great for Manly.
*******
Manly are mulling over a move for English back-rower John Bateman as they look to save him from the threat of NRL purgatory at the Wests Tigers.
This masthead understands that while any move is still in its infancy, the Sea Eagles have begun exploring the possibility of bringing Bateman to Sydney’s Northern Beaches as they look to strengthen their premiership aspirations.
Bateman has two years remaining on his deal at the Tigers but it is understood they would not stand in his way should he find another club.
The English back-rower finished last season on loan at Super League side Warrington and there was talk that he would stay there rather than return to Sydney.
However, it is understood Bateman – currently in England for their Test series against Samoa – wants to remain in the NRL and Manly may offer him the chance to move to a premiership contender.
The Tigers are unlikely to put up a fight. Tigers chief executive Shane Richardson last week made clear the club’s frustrations with Bateman, insisting he would face consequences unless he fell into line behind Marshall after the pair had a documented falling out.
The 31-year-old is believed to be on about $650,000 a season and the Tigers would likely need to contribute over the next two years to make a deal viable.
Again, that isn’t expected to prevent the move going ahead if Manly decide to crystallise their interest by opening talks with the Tigers.
The Sea Eagles are in a premiership window and, should they press ahead with their pursuit of Bateman, it would arm them with another weapon in their forward pack.
He showed flashes of his best at the Tigers over the past two years but struggled to find any consistency as the club finished the season with a third successive wooden spoon.
Whispers of a potential move for Bateman have been circulating in England, where he will be a key figure for the national side against Samoa.
Interestingly, the Samoan side is led by Penrith superstar Jarome Luai, who was set to be a teammate of Bateman’s at the Tigers next season.
They may find themselves on opposing teams now as Manly circle Bateman, who may not be the only Tigers player on the move this off-season.
The club has also made it clear that the likes of Jayden Sullivan, Brent Naden and Charlie Staines are free to leave if they can find another home.

Agree, but he is being paid a bucket load of cash to play footy to the best of his ability and he, like a few other highly paid players didn't deliver.I’m not saying we got the best out of John, and he’s unlikely to improve, but Benji has fallen out with a lot of players this year.
I’m a Seibs fan, but for the ‘ken life of me can’t think what he can do to bring John back to his best.
$650k for 4 years ( except for his visa issues), his tenure stands as one of Tim’s worst decisions, albeit that’s a very low bar for entry.
Looking at it another way, if John was having issues with Benji, that is not entirely unmeritorious given the crud Benji dished out this season.
Robbie was also expelled for his thoughtcrimes.
I just don't think Johnny is powerful enough for the NRL these days with his slight frame to go with his attempt to play aggressive footy.I’m not saying we got the best out of John, and he’s unlikely to improve, but Benji has fallen out with a lot of players this year.

I’m not sure, but we know players are a sensitive lot and rarely do we hear the other side.Agree, but he is being paid a bucket load of cash to play footy to the best of his ability and he, like a few other highly paid players didn't deliver.
At the end of the day, results and attitudes threaten careers, no matter who it is.
From memory, he went off because he believed Galvin was being treated better than him?
Galvin was playing the house down, he was getting penalised or binned.
We've certainly had more than our fair share of those type players.
I’ll be f**king dead and buried by the time any of our decent juniors finally make it.The fact that Heamasi will move into Wests Tigers' top 30 squad in 2026 means centres like To'a, Feledy, Olam and co will have to pull their finger out or it's gonesky for them.
This is how pathways should work.

The scarf of death, used to protect one of the family cars.
Upon seeing this, would-be robbers know there’s nothing in it to steal and might even give us a few bucks in sympathy.
