Not long ago it was ‘and other shit’. Literally for years!! It’s for general posts if you can’t be bothered hunting for the right one, if there is in fact a better one.... or if there’s a few punters on here already..that’s why it’s the most used
There’s several others that strictly speaking could be for recruitment as well.

Sounds like you've read me the wrong way. I'm not pissed off...far from it TSP.
I would just like a dedicated thread for player movement but instead it's spread out all over the place.
When I wake up in the morning and see a post in the signings, rumours thread I get all excited only to read something completely off track.
I'm a hypocrite in saying this as I just follow the flow too.
Others have said it in the past both on hear and on other external forums but I guess I've just got the nads to say it.
As far as sledging someone who has done the wrong thing, maybe it should go in the dumping thread until proven guilty, don't really care, just a thought.
The way I see it, we have so many different threads on all sorts of topics like club news, humour, memories etc etc. The reason we have them is so people can pick and choose what they want to read and interact with. Another reason is the same or similar comments are duplicated elsewhere if we don't keep them categorised.
Anyway, the forum's a great little place with great members.
Just a thought and nothing to get upset about.. I'm not having a go at anyone on here especially as we don't have that many contributors, we are all a family

Manly are mulling over a move for English back-rower John Bateman as they look to save him from the threat of NRL purgatory at the Wests Tigers.
This masthead understands that while any move is still in its infancy, the Sea Eagles have begun exploring the possibility of bringing Bateman to Sydney’s Northern Beaches as they look to strengthen their premiership aspirations.
Bateman has two years remaining on his deal at the Tigers but it is understood they would not stand in his way should he find another club.
The English back-rower finished last season on loan at Super League side Warrington and there was talk that he would stay there rather than return to Sydney.
However, it is understood Bateman – currently in England for their Test series against Samoa – wants to remain in the NRL and Manly may offer him the chance to move to a premiership contender.
The Tigers are unlikely to put up a fight. Tigers chief executive Shane Richardson last week made clear the club’s frustrations with Bateman, insisting he would face consequences unless he fell into line behind Marshall after the pair had a documented falling out.
The 31-year-old is believed to be on about $650,000 a season and the Tigers would likely need to contribute over the next two years to make a deal viable.
Again, that isn’t expected to prevent the move going ahead if Manly decide to crystallise their interest by opening talks with the Tigers.
The Sea Eagles are in a premiership window and, should they press ahead with their pursuit of Bateman, it would arm them with another weapon in their forward pack.
He showed flashes of his best at the Tigers over the past two years but struggled to find any consistency as the club finished the season with a third successive wooden spoon.
Whispers of a potential move for Bateman have been circulating in England, where he will be a key figure for the national side against Samoa.
Interestingly, the Samoan side is led by Penrith superstar Jarome Luai, who was set to be a teammate of Bateman’s at the Tigers next season.
They may find themselves on opposing teams now as Manly circle Bateman, who may not be the only Tigers player on the move this off-season.
The club has also made it clear that the likes of Jayden Sullivan, Brent Naden and Charlie Staines are free to leave if they can find another home.

I’m not saying we got the best out of John, and he’s unlikely to improve, but Benji has fallen out with a lot of players this year.

I’m a Seibs fan, but for the ‘ken life of me can’t think what he can do to bring John back to his best.

$650k for 4 years ( except for his visa issues), his tenure stands as one of Tim’s worst decisions, albeit that’s a very low bar for entry.

Looking at it another way, if John was having issues with Benji, that is not entirely unmeritorious given the crud Benji dished out this season.

Robbie was also expelled for his thoughtcrimes.

I just don't think Johnny is powerful enough for the NRL these days with his slight frame to go with his attempt to play aggressive footy.
Compare him to the Sharks edge fwd Briton Nikora.
They have similar builds but Nikora is stronger, more athletic and can play more direct if needed.
John runs too laterally because he's losing the physicality battle.
I watched all his pommy games since he left us and he spent most of the games parked out in the centres. Waste of time and money imo.
He's also undisciplined, spending too much time scrapping and arguing instead of playing the ball quickly.

I’m not sure, but we know players are a sensitive lot and rarely do we hear the other side.

Wrote to Membership today chasing up my letter of July.

I think it was brother @Nutz who at the time, told me not to hold my breath.

Anyway, I told membership today, that I’m not expecting a response anymore.

I will be interested to see if or how they respond.

The fact that Richo has taken the time to write a love letters to Brooksy for the finals, while ignoring members emails….doesn’t sit very well with me.
