Agree and Gal would know exactly what he's on.

I think they signed him (on a package deal) and before they knew how good gal would go, plus they wouldn't have dreamed, they'd get Luai.
Anyway, we have a comp to win, the more talent the better.

Does anyone in WA actually want a Perth Based team? Maybe for the exception of Perth Red?
Is this a dream for a particular politician?
It was tried before and failed.
Not sure why, different time zones, the people are more interested in AFL, they won't get too many (if any) quality players wanting to up stakes and move over?
Anyway, if it's happening, I think they need to seriously look at how they spread the talent around the teams.

If you head over to one of the many for and against threads for expansion you will find plenty of posts that will hate or support your/our opinions Tm.
They will quote statistics and facts that could sell sand to an Arab.
I thought our priority for expansion should be East Coast rural teams like Bathurst or Coffs Harbour or whoever.
The game is watched more on TV now but that doesn't detract on how many clicks there are going to be.
Make it compulsory that every club to have a rural club as a second club (just a name) and clubs have to play 4 games a season there.
It's not going to effect you and me sitting in our recliner but would mean a lot to people in one of the stronger group teams and shore up our nurseries.

Don't get me wrong, if they do it, good luck, but as I said, it was tried before and failed.
They want all this expansion, but I just don't know where they will get the talent from.
I agree, NSW and Qld country have always been a pathway for the NRL, it is about time they get a team each. Though, I suppose the Dolphins are one?
The last few years, there were a lot of people calling for us to be deregistered, how they expect WA to get them, is beyond me.

Yep another point but they'll prove you wrong.
I lived in Townsville for years and people would drive from charters towers Bowen, Ingham, Cairns to watch the Cowboys, same with Broncos, they come from rural areas but along came foxtel woohoo for you and me.
But in rural areas like Orange or Bathurst, any excuse to get outside and socialize is a winner. They are very loyal too

Home this arvo, can't wait to sleep in my comfy bed.
I'm thinking about getting one of those 3d helmet thingy majigs to watch the game. It's as real as you can get apparently.

It's hard to remember if the western reds folded because of lack of interest or if they were a victim of the ARL and super league coming together to form the NRL. Can you believe the super league war started just over 30 years ago?

I love the idea of the Sydney teams adopting a NSW country area. It would have to be positive for bush footy.

I'm dead set against expansion. There's already too many teams. 14 or even 12 would be ideal.

I think with Vlandys it’s not about the need it’s more about the $$$ …He originally tried to tear out the arse of the wa premier to pay some of his huge nrl goals he comes up with in his dream like state..Hes been demanding $ amounts (I think around $300+ mill) for wa to join up.. thst other new clubs are not asked for..So he thinks coz it’s govt money he can do that ..our premier will say yes when Vlandys wakes up to the fact we won’t be ridden and whipped down the home straight like that, …our premier will go ahead because in 10 years time his decision to go ahead will be like the stadium decision a controversial at the time but eventually a game changer and very popular one… and he wants it as his legacy btw players wanting to live in wa will not be a problem guaranteed( sorry I couldn’t resist ) . The money here likewise
