If they want Perth in, they should finance them in the reserve grade competition, until they earn their wings.

But anyway, it will interesting if we find out the reasons?
Pretty sure it's been said that the premier got no support, thus no funding. Could be wrong.

I’ll let you think about it … You’ll get it. Just put it in the context

refers to a person who can't read, mistakes animals, can't tie his shoes, always gets lost, mistakes objects... an idiot.

Ok, I still prefer Ingwish though.

It's hard to fathom what the NRL want out of Perth to get a team going. $300 mil is enormous money. If they're waiting for a similar amount that the federal govt is tipping in for PNG they're gonna be waiting a long time. That's a once in a lifetime deal that has very little to do with sport.

I don't imagine Melbourne would have much of a grass roots program going on when they entered the comp. You can also make the same aguement for easts right now. If the NRL are looking to maximise the money from the next broadcast deal then a new market seems like a no brainer.

It took a long time to get good levels of support for the warriors, but look at them now. It's almost at the point where league is the more popular sport on the north island. At least that's according to a number of different kiwis I've talked to lately, who have come over for a weekend away to watch games.

You have to give these things time. WA may not succeed but I think it's worth trying.

I just hope Vlandys realised his mistake (surely he does) after cook called his bluff, and feels backed into a corner with the new broadcast deal around the corner, knowing he still has the opportunity to leverage better $$ from it by presenting as a national sport....He has proven he will attempt to maximise his coffers regardless, so looking forward to waking up to “Vlandys backs down” but not holding my breath. Tho I think he’d have a few in his ear right now.

Luke Laulilii is going to be a great winger for us, utility back even. I saw it in pathways and now in the NRL.
He's confident, runs with enthusiasm and can sniff out the white line.
I see him getting sporatic NRL experience this year and it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds when we have Skelton, Turuva, competing plus our backups.
I can't see our new train and trial recruit Izaac Tu'itupou (formerly Thompson) being more than depth if he's upgraded.
Centres will be interesting with To'o being our best back atm, and Heamasi Makasini. Does AD get an extension.
I'm guessing most of you would say no, but I think he's done alright.
He certainly won't get big dollars though.
If we can keep in touch with the top 8, I can see us developing nicely late in the year.. A few more losses on the trot and it will be hard to get back on the horse.

I think he should have scored that try where he fumbled. He’d secured the ball. But that’s just me.

AD is a tough one. He has been great this year. The problem is I don't see him as along term option at centre unless he is also goal kicking but that means picking him for his goal kicking alone.

I reckon To'a is clearly our best centre but I don't think he is better than Bula, Turuva and Skelton.

AD actually looked like a half to me on the weekend. Would he better off at another club that is lacking a half ?

Yeh, I actually cussed when that happened and had to apologise to my budgie who put it's head under it's wing.
You can't buy experience but in professional sport, excuses are just that, excuses
The best players regularly get it right.
Still a bub and the reason I like his situation is we can bring him along at a rate where he learns, then goes back to reserve grade to put the polish on.
He shouldn't be required to play every week and fingers crossed we won't have too many injuries where he's called upon too often.
