TWT instagram has stated SG Ball 5/8 Lachlan Galvin has said he will be in the top 30 squad next year?

If you didn’t think things could get worse, the L plater will take charge earlier….
We’ll set some records next year.
I think we've broken some records lately TJ, what's left? Shortest stint for an NRL coach maybe 🤔

Its one thing to clean out, but up until now just about every decent player we have targeted has said no.

So with six plus roster spots to fill who will fill them?

As a conspiracy theory I;m quietly hopeful that the who reason behind Fulton being hired without notice to Sheens and Marshall is that he is finding their replacements......

"Rugby league players have escalated their protests against the NRL in their ongoing pay talks by agreeing to boycott all media duties, including for next week’s State of Origin series finale.

After months of frustrating talks between the Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA) and the NRL, a group of senior players agreed on Tuesday night it would abandon all media commitments on days when an NRL, NRLW or State of Origin match is to be played."

“Players have determined that the action to take is that all players will boycott the media from the first NRL, NRLW (including trials) or State of Origin match of every week to the last. This action will commence tomorrow Thursday, July 6th.”

The media boycott includes:
  • Pre-match interviews
  • Half-time interviews
  • Post-match interviews
  • Post-match press conferences
  • Media opportunities in the dressing rooms

This is great news for Tigers fans. It should reduce our suffering considerably.

Here's hopiing they stayed blacked-out for the next 4 years. Can we also extend this to coaches and management?

Besides being a marketing tool, why do we have to hear from the players before and after matches anyway, it never happened in the past and the game still survived, given the usual standard response to questions and answers I don't think we will be missing anything.

“ we’ve got the losing half Luke Brooks here”

“How do you feel after an 80 point loss?”

“ what went wrong out there?”

It’s going to be a real boost to our mental health not to hear the excuses. I’m feeling better already.

I've said this before but now it has become abundantly clear ---> sacking Madge was a fkn terrible call. We should have given him at least this year to see what he could have done. We would have pretty much the same squad, except instead of Batemen we would have A. Chrichton, and instead of Brooks in the 7 we would have Hastings. I'm 100% confident we would have won at least 3 more games this year with Hastings in the side.

Anyway, from what I hear we are looking at the following players:
Fainu
Lomax
Trindall or Dodd
Frizell

Add these to the squad next year and we are looking at maybe climbing out of bottom four which is a first in a long time.

1. Bula
2. Nofa
3. Lomax*
4. Naden/To'a
5. Tupou
6. Fainu*
7. Trindall/Dodd*
8. Stefano
9. Api
10. Klemmer
11. Frizell*
12. Papali'i
13. Bateman

14. Simpkin/Silva
15. Twal
16. Pole
17. Kepoa

Some great insights. The Madge program wasn’t the best in the world, but better than what it has been replaced with.

I’m happy to see 2 or 3 more given their marching orders from your thoughtful side. That’s just me.

At any rate, we don’t have a genuine first grade coach next year based on this years debacle, so if we have your side, Madgeball here we come.

Plus we have the accompanying depth problems, but we have to walk before we can run.

If we can get off the bottom, that’s probably the best we can expect for a few years. I won’t be happy, but realistic.
