Madge was a first class, premiership winning coach. He inherited a bad roster with dud Ivan Cleary signings (Packer, Reynolds etc) and the front of house brains trust was running a protection racket for Brooks etc.
Out of the coaches we've had in the past decade he was the most likely to take us back to finals football. This sheens/benji show will keep us in the lower depths of the premiership table for many a year to come
Amen.
I’ve done the coaching maths, I’m afraid it’s pretty ugly.
Tim Sheens has managed to win just 15% of his games this year while Madge had won 25% before he was summarily executed last year.
Tim has coached 7 more games than the guy he sacked and you’d think that would be enough for one extra win.
Madge based on the 2022 average, well he would have managed at least one extra win by now, even with last years mob.
Tim’s strike rate is less than half of Holbrooks, before he was taken out the back in crude and infantile manner.
People will bang on about points and attacking widgets, but the Tiger has come home to roost.
He coveted the role, shoved himself in and I’m afraid he’s f**ked it all up.
Anyway you look at it, Tim is the worst coach in the NRL and the surrender tonight when we had a chance was abysmal. What did he say at half time?
He’s had a good go, but the honourable thing for him to do is to at least try to stop the carnage and go home to England.
A mod can fact check me, by all means.
Madge left this club not in disgrace (as the club tried to sell it) but with great honour and dignity.
Lee and co better do something drastic this week. Time is running out.
The stats say we are even better off with Hook or Holbrook.
