Madge was a first class, premiership winning coach. He inherited a bad roster with dud Ivan Cleary signings (Packer, Reynolds etc) and the front of house brains trust was running a protection racket for Brooks etc.

Out of the coaches we've had in the past decade he was the most likely to take us back to finals football. This sheens/benji show will keep us in the lower depths of the premiership table for many a year to come

We were always considered to have a "soft under belly" basically soft cocks from the end of the Sheens era when he got the arse , since then there has only been 2 coaches that attempted to eradicate that persona and the associated cliques that fed it ... Those coaches were Potter and Maguire.

Sorry wt but madge stiffled the team. Since Sheens and Benji have taken over the tigers they have showed they can score points.
I still believe the tigers are simply not a balanced side yet.
I've said before that we are a marquee back short like manu for eg and a blockbusting wing.....
We lack genuine speed on the flanks and that has been highlighted by Noffa getting burnt 5 times against the cowboys. Staines has pace and could be a handy replacement.
People/supporters have been screaming blue murder that we keep resigning Brooks for years and now he's going they are screaming blue murder again...go figure.
Now Lee has said there is serious recruitment happening behind the scenes..lets see if he's a liar.

I would much prefer Lee to shut his caviar hole and let Fulton / Marshall / whoever get on with the recruitment job. Actions speak louder than words. Unless you're an ambulance chasing, attention seeking, self absorbed lawyer.

Once the season is about to kick off, go ahead and announce the players we went after and missed out on, and the terms we offered. As a fan I'd like to know that. I'm sure most fans would, regardless of their team. Unless it's the rorters. They'd have nothing to report.

Couldn't agree more DOM.
I quiet frankly hate the sight of the goose.
If recruitment fails to deliver between now and next preseason then I hope they stick it to him.
His company puts in a fair bit of coin so that's a stinking point.
He and pascoe should not go near a microphone, leave that to the coaches. If it's got something to do with a stadium upgrade or a major sponsor coming on board etc then ok, have your moment of glory then buzz off!

Amen.

I’ve done the coaching maths, I’m afraid it’s pretty ugly.

Tim Sheens has managed to win just 15% of his games this year while Madge had won 25% before he was summarily executed last year.

Tim has coached 7 more games than the guy he sacked and you’d think that would be enough for one extra win.

Madge based on the 2022 average, well he would have managed at least one extra win by now, even with last years mob.

Tim’s strike rate is less than half of Holbrooks, before he was taken out the back in crude and infantile manner.

People will bang on about points and attacking widgets, but the Tiger has come home to roost.

He coveted the role, shoved himself in and I’m afraid he’s f**ked it all up.

Anyway you look at it, Tim is the worst coach in the NRL and the surrender tonight when we had a chance was abysmal. What did he say at half time?

He’s had a good go, but the honourable thing for him to do is to at least try to stop the carnage and go home to England.

A mod can fact check me, by all means.

Madge left this club not in disgrace (as the club tried to sell it) but with great honour and dignity.

Lee and co better do something drastic this week. Time is running out.

The stats say we are even better off with Hook or Holbrook.

I had hoped that with our new players this year we would have improved enough to sign a reasonable player or two next year but all the club has managed to do is send a clear message that the Tigers have been, are and always will be a basket case. At least as long as Pascoe and Lee are in charge.

We all hoped the new players would add at least something, on paper at least.

The coaches convinced Lee and Pascoe they could do the job and it’s turned out that they can’t.

There’s too many excuses. A whole seasons worth.

We do seem to get a mention with every player available, though we do need a 7, so who knows?

Yeah, I’m not overly unhappy Fultons keeping busy.

Maybe we will hit 30% plus of roster change compared to pre season this year.

If there’s one thing we’ve kind of succeeded at, it’s a tendency to release players who haven’t exactly set the world alight elsewhere in new clubs. You could argue they shouldn’t have been here at first instance, but that’s too far down the hole. But there are a couple we should have hung onto. Lucy and Hastings imho.

I’m genuinely hoping Fulton can thread the needle, find us some good players. He’s well thought of.

“He’s well thought of.”

By everyone except our coaches, by the looks.

Sooks and Karen’s.

We lose almost all our games under their watch and they demand a seat at the board room and to be consulted.

Suddenly stabbing Tim’s recruitment mate in the back of the neck as he walked past a few weeks ago -without telling Tim and Benji-is about the only thing Lee has done right this year.

It’s a roll of the dice, but its better than being slaughtered under rampant open slather Timism.

I don’t agree with much of what Alan says, but this time, he has called the emperor out. He’s got the blessing of the people and he knows it.

Kudos to him.

They won’t resign, but it’s builds pressure for change, especially in that elite environment.

What Alan is saying is that they should be accountable. That’s a very reasonable position.

I remember the royals got slagged out at Lady Diana’s funeral and the Queen stay chilled and retained her composure.

Our Lee has a giant dummy spit, a tantrum and storms out, grossly insulted when told the truth.

Alan won’t be afraid of Lee and his defamation team. He has the defence of truth.

I'm not sure about stifling the team . I haven't checked the stats for a while but prior to our win against the cowgirls we were down on scored points compared to 2022. I'll concede we didn't look that flash back then but . come 2023 with a massively improved forward pack and key play maker added to the team and the worlds best coach 🤪 and a guy attributed to being the best attacking player in modern times assisting ... We now look like 10 year olds on the field with the ball 😢
