I'm not sure about stifling the team . I haven't checked the stats for a while but prior to our win against the cowgirls we were down on scored points compared to 2022. I'll concede we didn't look that flash back then but . come 2023 with a massively improved forward pack and key play maker added to the team and the worlds best coach 🤪 and a guy attributed to being the best attacking player in modern times assisting ... We now look like 10 year olds on the field with the ball 😢

Touché.

And my one of my favourites, Doogie talking himself up to about $900k after round 2.

The floodgates opened this season (and last season) the moment we started offloading players to other clubs midyear without replacing them. By doing this the club sends a clear message they have given up for the year and it is no surprise that the message trickles down to the playing group. Depressingly, we still have not hit rock bottom yet.

Lee has treated the club like his personal plaything. Same with Pascoe.

Lee enjoys being the big man on campus, but at the end of the day, he’s a spokesman for the board. They keep making bad decisions and he keeps trying to sell them as triumphs.

His big problem is that he has injected too much of himself into the project. He’s taken all this ownership of the failed state of a leagues club.

Hes on the nose big time all over the place.

Once people get up at a charity event and merrily s l.a.g you off, you know you’re in serious trouble.

He even looks evil now, always a sour pussy face and spitting fire at people who rightly hold him in utter contempt.

Madge's best attribute was yelling and kicking chairs.... doesn't work with the modern nancy boys.
Even with a new pack we are not a balanced side nor was it in Madges era so stats are not worth comparing.
We now need a game winning ½ and a marquee centre at a minimum. The trouble with our club is there are too many KOE standard players. We keep recruiting players that wouldn't make the top NRL sides, simple, said in a cheeky meerkat tone.

At least they meet COE standards.

$78m spent on Justin’s mega white elephant homeless shelter.

We should have given them a back alley.

Train on an airport runway, learn to sprint from airbuses.

Yep that sounds about right WT.
I'm not giving up on Sheens. He's stated a few times that the cap has to stay healthy and we must bring the youngens thru. Bula, DaSilva is a good start.
We are only a couple guns players short. See what happens.

I dont think any team coming last is every a couple of gun players away.

On top of the fact that we have at best half a first grade side, we also have zero depth.

So are you saying if we added Joseph Manu and Cameron Munster to our side we would still come last?

Yes Nutz, I am.

Its cultural change this club needs. The fact with the same players we can play good one week then shit the next is the culture of the place. I had hoped buying a near entire new forward pack would help. Last offseason was our best for bringing in talent I would say ever. Its made no difference. We are still last.

But if making 200 passes a day cant stop the drop balls what else can?

SULLIVAN’S NEW HOME

Dragons young gun Jayden Sullivan will reportedly join the Bulldogs for the 2024 season and beyond despite being contracted until the end of 2025.

The 21-year-old signed a contract extension in 2021, committing his future to the Red V club.

However, following the 2022 season Sullivan reportedly requested an immediate release from his contract before he changed his mind to stay at the Dragons.

The young halfback was reportedly left disgruntled after halfback Ben Hunt re-signed but has featured 12 times this season before suffering a hamstring injury in Round 19.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Sullivan will join the Bulldogs next season with Kyle Flanagan joining his dad at the Red V club.

That is despite the signing of Titans young gun Toby Sexton in an immediate switch and paying a $500,000 fee to acquire Broncos prodigy Karl Oloapu.

WTF are we doing? Not saying this bloke is the answer, but we are f**k arsing around, without a 7 option next year, just boggles the mind.

We need proper coaching more than anything else. Can you imagine where we would be, with the same players under Bennet? Look at what hes done with the Dolphins.
Bennet didn’t want to come, getting quality coaches is a problem, when you sack blokes every other season.

Bring back Madge.

BTW, I do believe one player can make a difference, Manly’s Turbo is an example. Though they do have a good 7 as well.
