I think he could be a good signing.
Good luck to him and good on Benji as I think for a newby he's handling the media really well.
If you go back to sooky Bateman and co supposedly saying that Benji gives the young fellas too much respect over the senior players, apart from the obvious comeback to that statement what I think is good about Benji is that he's taking the pressure off the youngins by saying just play your game...play what's in front if you.
It seems obvious that Tim Johannssen is probably no different to how Galvin and co are treated.
It's a new modern era of footy now. It's a bit more touchy feely stuff compared to when Bateman first laced up the boots. It's a more skillful uptempo game now that requires more discipline than ever before.

We've finished 16th and got the inaugural nrl 17rh....who's to say we can't add inaugural 18th to the lumber pile! I think we can!
Oh yeah!
We have found our own niche for creating history.

Longest run without making it to the finals. All signs are we will continue to build on that.
Wooden spoon 3 years in a row. Yep, we will build on that also.

Finish16th the inaugural 17th probably the inaugural 18th and looking every chance of the inaugural 19th or 20th when that happens.

Tigers soften Utoikamanu blow by signing Bulldogs beast
By Adam Pengilly and Dan Walsh
Updated August 13, 2024 — 6.06pmfirst published August 11, 2024 — 10.43am

The Wests Tigers have dipped into their $2 million war chest to make another significant signing, with Bulldogs wrecking ball Jeral Skelton to join Benji Marshall’s side next year.

Sketon will follow Panthers pair Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva to Concord after agreeing a two-year deal on Tuesday.

The addition of Skelton will fill a huge hole for the Tigers, who were desperate to add another outside back after the marquee signing of Luai and boom prop Stefano Utoikamanu rejecting a $4 million extension to join the Storm.

Skelton has been restricted to just six NRL matches for the Bulldogs since debuting last year, but has impressed during limited NRL opportunities this season.

The 25-year-old is the cousin of Wallabies star Will Skelton and his signing continues the Tigers’ major roster overhaul, which has included Isaiah Papali’i being allowed to leave his contract early to join Penrith, Utoikamanu activating a clause to leave the club and doubts over the future of John Bateman, who has signed a short-term deal with Sam Burgess’ Warrington.

Skelton has been stuck behind Bulldogs wingers Josh Addo-Carr, Jacob Kiraz and Blake Wilson for the majority of this season.

Another tall winger, hopefully they utilise this height advantage.

Great signing.

Reminds me a bit of the Warren Ryan philosophy, big powerful backs.

They have a lot of utility in attack, capturing defenders.

Hopefully we can use him like Robbo used Latrell in his younger days.

Need some forwards, but we had to strike when we did.

A lot of good wraps on this kid.

Mmmm..sure.

I’m desperately hoping we can get some warhorse forwards with some legs left.

I’ll even settle for some permanent rotations if we have a skilled and frisky backline taking shape.
For sure..Is it more easy to fake young legs in the forwards than the backs? ..maybe …I think tho it’s more a case of our selectors having gone gah gah when forward “guns that were” became available..iether way these backs are current guns. Makes a nice change
