He's still under contract here.
Re Galvin ..Seriously there’s no need to be angry or disappointed. The feeling of rejection is just a trigger from days gone by . it is in fact good news. Focus on the lost opportunities yesterday that would have been repeated weak after weak. Galvin was the odd man out in a shit hot team
Arse kiss. Go to work Das. I’ll write the musicGreat first line for a song...but perhaps not surprisingly there doesn't seem to be a word that rhymes with narcissist
The NRL really expect us to believe he hasn't already got a deal negotiated elsewhere. Correct decision but still a bit disappointed.
If he really doesn't know where he is going or for how much it is a strong statement that sounds like " I don't care where I am going or for how much but I won't be staying at the Tigers no matter what."The NRL really expect us to believe he hasn't already got a deal negotiated elsewhere. I wish I could like this most more than once. You've hit the nail on the head.If he really doesn't know where he is going or for how much it is a strong statement that sounds like " I don't care where I am going or for how much but I won't be staying at the Tigers no matter what."
Do we really want a player with that attitude in first grade?
How would his team mates who care about teach other and the club feel like playing along side him?
Do we really want to give him 2 years on field experience next to one of the best in the game and coached by one of the best 5/8ths the game has seen so he will be a top quality player when he leaves us and his next team gets someone who is ready to go?
We are still in a transitional stage, He has only played 3 games with the rest of our spine. If we replaced him with someone else they are only behind him by 3 games. Not a big deal. Also given what we are currently paying him it would be no big sacrifice for him to run around in reserve grade for the remainder of his contract
I think we should replace him with Latu Fainu immediately as our ongoing halves partner and leave Galvin's coaching to his next club in two years time.
I understand he is doing what he thinks is best for him and we have to do what is best for our club.
"I'd also physically and mentally destroy him during our pre-season."I wish I could like this most more than once. You've hit the nail on the head.
I'd go further Ned and send him back to under 21s for the rest of the season. Then when that's over he can sit at home. I would play him against Parra this weekend though. Only to give the fans an opportunity to boo him.
Next year I'd release him. He's on $350k next year and we could spend that and use the top 30 spot on someone who wants to be here. What I'd do though is release him just as the season is about to start, so he can't have a pre-season with his new team. I'd also physically and mentally destroy him during our pre-season.
If Galvin and his scumbag manager (I won't write his name) had of just come out and said "thanks for the offer but we're gonna test the market, come to us then" I would have accepted that, even if they had no intention of signing. But to say you're not going to entertain any offer at all is an insult. So he's saying if we turned around and offered $2 million a season he wouldn't accept it. Bullshit.
The big issue now is that if they keep playing Galvin ahead of Fainu (when he's over his thumb injury) or any other half we have, there's the chance they can crack the shits and leave. Then where would we be?
I understand all the emotion with this, but it is professional sport and we do have a competition to compete in, we need to put our best team on the park at all times.
Cutting our nose off to spite our face is stupid.

As a front rower maybe.I'd go further Ned and send him back to under 21s for the rest of the season.
It was a joke Tiger, have you sussed out the property I mentioned, it's the most expensive one in AustraliaIf you live in your own house I don't think it's mean tested. If you have an investment property that would be means tested. You should fact check me though.
