Blood Shot Eyes, I don't see the reason why I need to come back on and defend my comments nor the comments of others who tainted the typical picture of what I expected as a reaction once I submitted my post?...

What I have been told stands and now its a wait and see. I hope I am wrong however, with stirring reports starting to surface just maybe there is merit to this information....

You have every right to view your opinions/comments on here thats what forums are all about...and if some of them turn out to be correct regarding Hornby, Cooper and Soward retiring/leaving then thats ok as well ...but what this club and its supporters doesnt need imo is all the grubby little details that in your words you have been privileged to, especially the gossip regarding Soward.....I wonder if the person who supposibly gave this so called info realises what youve done with it.....for mine it does nothing for the morale of this great and proud club of ours.....

Writing players off after a game or two is dumb, especially when the game is the farce-like Origin series, which barely resembles normal NRL football. If such a practice were correct, how did we win a comp with players as shit as Morris, Creagh Scott, Weyman, Soward, Cooper etc who are all roundly bagged after wearing blue? It is played under different rules to NRL.

Look this is simple you take under performing players out to the middle of OKI , sit them on a chair , offer a blindfold , a smoke or even a mars bar/easter egg . Tie them to a stake and then shoot the merkins .. Result premiership winning team.. A homage to the great Fruitbasket....

Pearce seems to be more consistent at club level... but yes doesnt handle the step up to rep footy very well.... but he's not the first not to cut it at origin level..
for mine if he plays well at club level for the dragons then that is the main priority..
not perfect, but the best option going around at the moment given all the big name halves like Cronk and thurston are well and truly under lock and key at their current clubs..

Soward was bagged long before he played origin.
Creagh was bagged mainly because he ran away from a fight.
Morris has never been bagged.
Cooper was bagged for refusing to play origin.

What Is your point? Wait.. You don't have one as usual.

1 or 2 games? Are you serious? He's absolute dogshit every single week. My dangleberries have more creativity.

However, I will say that think Pearce & Soward together could work well together at club level. The problem is IMO if Pearce were to come over, he's been getting something around the 500K mark, which would be ridiculous overs.

FTR, I think Pearce will stay at Roosters. Signing Maloney, & getting rid of Pearce wouldn't make sense.

I've told you a billion times not to exaggerate.

Not that it's terribly credible, but he was among the top handful of the Dally M's last time I checked. His club form is good considering the team he's in

Willow, you're f*cked.

You moron read/don't read the paper ( i couldnt care less - as you probably cant read) and dont believe it.

Who says that by not believing what is in the paper - is the right thing? You? Rexxy? If Soward did walk off without shaking hands, it shows no class at all - something you obviously know nothing about. What would be the right newspaper to read, to make the article credible? The NY Times? The fact that it was discussed over the radio last night as well, does that make it not true? Or are those guys who speak about it, not knowing what they are talking about?? Classless perhaps?

Stop living in your own world, where you make up the rules.

For the record - i'd sign Pearce - way better than any options we have at the moment. Anyone who wouldn't sign him - is deluded.

..It was only during the half time highlights that I realised he was playing and that was because of his poor attempt to tackle Thurston......as you rightly point out hes far to hot and cold , and for mine I'd prefer someone who is hot.......although at the moment I would settle for someone who is luke warm....

Yep, and on another note I wanted to point out Jennings again, ive always seen him as a player with no heart who only looks good if your side is running riot over the opposition... dead-set terrible last night, the forwards were exhausted and he did absolutely nothing all night to help, apart from his knock on... he was the 1 back who literally was invisible on the field.

I'm deluded. Pearce is average. Why waste money on him if we can hold out for someone better?

You must be. Maybe you want to extend Hornby's contract, so that "we can hold out for someone else".

Signing Pearce is a matter of what $$$ is he asking vs what does he offer?
The value for money you get at $500k plus is at question.
Just because he's better than what we have is not the sole reason to just sign him.

Now that's showing some class.

So DTD, he's an origin half back, played in GF. How much would it take ($$$) for you not to sign him?

500k for Pearce would be on the money i think... like it or not he is the incumbent NSW half and thats how his manager will be trying to pitch him.. he could even get more then 500k if a club is desperate enough.
signing Maloney and getting rid of Pearce wouldnt make sense, however signing Maloney and getting rid of Anasta does and did make perfect sense..
