Monster effort Danish, congrats!
You should go even better next time.
You should go even better next time.
7 days from my 2nd half marathon, and really pushed myself this last week to get my pace up.
Broke my 5km record last monday (was 23:26, now 22:32), and my 10km record on thursday (down from 49:53 to 48:26). Just a few small runs this week now and aiming for a time of 1:55 or better next week.
Only curve ball is that the race is 1000m above sea level... so not sure if that is going to have an effect or not
Ooooh you're going to be a little puffed mate. I've done a few runs at that altitude and it will burn. I might suggest doing some VO2Max work on a bike (hard interval training) to get your O2 levels up but it might be too late.
where is this half marathon?
There's a good 5km run in Wollongong Sunday week, still holding myself back to 4-5km runs at present but stringing together 5-6 days of exercise at a time which is good, will push the distance up again after that
