Russ is the best 19 year old 5/8 and Greg is the best 20 year old one.. Meh I'd keep them both.

Russ played half a game, I don't think you can give him the job just yet. I'd like to see him be 6 next week though with the star birdy in PL

I don't think Bird is a 5/8th. Depending on injuries they both might be there.

Aitken looks like he can control a game. He wont have to do it while Kimmorley is here but he stood up to be counted tonight.
Bird hasnt stood up while we've been down before that I can remember.
Russ showed a lot of ticker I thought.

Raper has to seriously give the kid a go for the rest of the year.

The kid is Russell Aitkin!!

How can he show his wares playing in dopey league.

We had so much more variety in attack when he was on.
We actually had the opposition second guessing what we were going to do.
Three points of attack

Kimmorley
Aitkin
Sullivan

The worst thing Bird could of done for his career is kneeing Shane Martenee.

Yes, IMO Bird has no place in first grade, in second grade yes. Aitken is a great player who hasnt just performed last night, but in Premier League also. Give him a go against the Panthers!

yes they will probally have their young halves instead of Campbell and Gower so there will be alot less pressure.

It was good to see Russ have a good game last night. I was one of the people calling for his inclusion and while one game does not mean everything I think he should again be included in the side next week.
He did not put a foot wrong and like i have mentioned before he is all class when he has got the ball, it is not hard to see that. In PL he just did not get it enough ball because of the style they play. Hopefully a few of the Aitken bashers were silenced last tonight.
I dont mind Bird and have never once knocked him about his ego, kneeing etc like other people. With his limited ball playing skills though i would stick him in the forwards and if that does not work out send him packing.

Bird has to go into the category of having to prove himself as a 1st grade player unlike being put their no matter what his performance. I dont think he will prove himself though

And now that Noddy's out for a few weeks Aitken will have to go to 1/2 I would imagine or do we leave him at 5/8 and promote...........who?

Reefy, SS???

Comments....?

Clearly Aitken has more talent now I've seen him go around..(finally)...

Like someone else said he started off slow and had trouble reading the quicker first grade defence...but proved his spot IMO.
