I have it either Dave or AM is really Hegs & the other is his brother why else would they beat his drum if they were not related!

Hegs has won a premiership so it is important that he guides our team to our next premiership.

Im almost certain you guys are taking the piss, but it scares me a little that you may not be.
Even if hegarty does have a great season... how can you say a winger is the player that will lead the team to "the promised land?". A winger who has not shown any kind of form or consistency for years?
We have far better options for the backline now, he will only be used if there is no other alternative.

I really believe that Hegs has been unfairly treated by Souths fans at times. Yes I do know that he has had plenty of shockers and done some crazy things.

I really believe that Hegs has been unfairly treated by Souths fans at times. Yes I do know that he has had plenty of shockers and done some crazy things.

People here are talking up as a leader and a game breaker etc... when he has one of his great games its because he has made metres out of dummy half, thats the only thing he is occasionaly capable of.
C'mon Paul, i've stood next to you at plenty of games in the last few years and heard you swearing and cursing about Hegs as much if not more than anyone else.

Hegs will play fg again because JT and the cadre understand that he has a lot to offer the team.

Heres a guy who made 200m+ against the eventual Grand Final winners who smahed the record books against the best team and coach in the last decade.

When his heads screwed on, he can match it with the best of them.

I make this solemn promise here and now.

Hegs will lead us to the promised land.

Years of confusion and darkness will be put right.

I believe in Shannon Heggarty and I always will.

On hegs, its not his fault, souths have sihned plenty of players in their prime and farked them up, if given a fair dinkum shot he would be very very handy at least.

I liked hegs at Easts, his loyalty can be questioned but his effort can not.

Paul, I'll agree with you here that Hegs does get unfairly treated at times but so does Capewell and Simpson.My issue with Hegs is'nt with his game but the favourable treatment JT gives him.

Reni is asking for a 100 grand payout from the dogs,is this to top up a smaller offer from souths for 09?

I would imagine that no matter which team makes him an offer in the NRL, it will be far smaller than what he was on at the Dogs. The only team's which could possibly have the cap space to make Reni a decent offer would be the Dogs cos they just sacked him and the Sharks if they were to sack Bird. Considering that Reni's manager mentioned they would have him sorted out by Christmas, I'd say that this rules the Sharks out because they won't sort out the Bird situation before then.

This 100k payout would have nothin to do with us and more to do with the fact that Reni knows he will be on a far smaller contract this year no matter where he goes in the NRL. There is still the high possibility he will go to England as well. Reni is just after more money and has probably had legal advice to tell him that he is half a chance of making a succesful case against the Dogs. That would be all that this would be about.

The future is bright for Hegs. Even if he gets cut he is at short odds to get the part of Ming the Merciless if they ever remake Flash Gordon. I'm pretty sure he's Ming & Dale Ardens love child - the resmblance is striking.

Paul probably wont admit it here publically, but its well known amongst the Souths LU cadre here that he is a genuine shadowy insider.

If he has formed the view that Hegs has been underdone, I submit to the panel that this adds additional weight to the pro-Hegs cause.
