i think b.slater from melbourne would snigger at that comment

Whilst I do agree that at the moment Slater is the form fullback in the NRL, Kidley is not far behind.

And ironically neither seem to have the inside running for the fullback position in their respective SOO sides.

Slater is the premier player at the moment, not Gidley. Gidley is awesome no doubting that but he's not as good as Slater.

Stewart will be Blues FB anyways. Frankly, it doesn't phase me if Kurt doesn't make SOO because we'll need to win those 3 games without Buderus

Yeah Slater is #1 currently, with Gidley not far behind...but again he is such a unique player its hard to compare in a way.

Forgetting Stewart for a minute, Buderus at hooker, Gidley at fullback, Anasta at 5/8 with someone at halfback would be a combo not to be laughed at given the form all 3 players are in currently (plus Bird thrown in there wherever he will be).

slater is playing ridiculously good at the moment.. probably playing a better 5/8 role for the storm than inglis atm

kids form at fullback last year and this year has been f**king awesome and super consistent. i agree that he doesnt seem to be suited to halfback in terms of organising and kicking, however i think i might reserve complete judgement until after the game this weekend as with the form he is in he might get away with it. wouldnt be overly surprised if his confidence, ball running, energy and enthusiasm made up for his lack of other halfback skills. still think hes ideal for fullback though.

sticking by what i said earlier in the week for nsw;

1. gids
6. analstar
7. carney / wallace
9. bedsy
13. bird
14. farah

opens up the utility spot for farah and throw stewart on the wing as backup for gids too

lets be honest.
the nsw selectors are f**ked in the head.
they make the sh*ttest calls.
last year for example.
wtf was andrew ryan doing in the team?
when guys like gallen, bird watmough were all in career best form!
f**k it pisses me off.
kurt gidley is the BEST option nsw has at fullback and imo he was last year also.
and last year mullen being picked. WTF?
in all honesty the guy who i believe deserves to be somewhere on playing ability....is todd carney. hes a c**k of a bloke. but on form and ability he should be there somewhere. highest tryscorer for canberra last year and his a half, not a winger or a centre. thats saying something. carney is the reason canberra upset teams.
if not this year id love to see him next year.

Todd Carney? Apart from one stand out performance last week against the Tigers, what else has he done to deserve a spot in the NSW team? He's been inconsistent IMO

I agree that Carney is good but I want Wallace. I just think that he could be a permanent replacement for Joey and solve the Blues No.7 problems. Plus he's a really nice guy. Then again so was Reynoldson ....

I'd throw Wallace in purely because I don't want to see what happened to Mullen happen to Pearce. Pearce's time will come.
