There was nothing in it from Waterhouse..

To me looks like he ran in to grab Price around the arms... not knowing Price was unconscious, then as Price unexpectadly fell his arms slid up to around his head... and then just fell with Price.

Nothing in it at all.. bloke sent and charged for trying to break up a fight. Thurston's kick on the other hand.

 hahah - well that would have been a stupid thing to do!!

Yes, he probably should have made sure White knew the fight was over as well.

I really don't see that anyone did much wrong. It was an old-fashioned biff that ended unfortunately. White just happened to connect, Waterhouse arrived at precisely the wrong time.

I've never been a fan of letting the 'result' of a fight determine a punishment.

The Cameron Smith bomb was probably the highlight of the series for mine. Watching the Qld'ers queuing up for the next tackle after Kidley was smashed was a close second.

QUEENSLANDER!!!!!

Suck eggs Belly, NSW still won, but they were my favorite moments too. Great game all round though.

Ahh...WELSHMEN!!!!!

My take is that Pricey's lights were out and he was on the way down when Waterhouse king hit (call it anything you want but when you don't see it coming it can't be anything but a king hit) him and the combination of that force hitting the ground did the damage.

king hit ?

he got him in a headlock, or in Pricey's case, a sleeper hold

Well there you go, watching the replay just then - Price wasn't even looking at White at the time! (probably should have been).

Memo to Inu or Reddy. Tackle Inglis around the legs.

Wasn't it refreshing to see someone use good old fashion style defense around the legs. Really why on earth have players been going high on this guy or any other player that runs like a run away train is beyond me. Nine times out of ten it is the right way to tackle these types of players. Going high when in a one on one situation is asking for trouble by playing to their strengths.

Thanks for the link Jess...IMO Waterhouse probably was looking to pull Pricey out of the situation. Unfortunately for Waterhouse the punch had knocked Price out and he was down for the count. Its all in the timing... 2 more seconds and waterhouse would have been grabbing air..:sarcasm:

Tonga's two tackles on Williams in SOO2 are what I have replayed over and over to my boys on copybook around the legs tackling.
