Not at all.

I believe you have made some very valid points re the organisation being hamstrung by Phil and in particular the coach and players doing it tough because of the lack of leadership from the top.

Just how do we explain today’s result though? Who do we credit?
That's an issue. Right when we think they have no heart or commitment they show some.
It's totally an attitude thing and I think it's systemic.
If we happen to win a few we might actually get a winning culture.
The situation is either top down or bottom up.
I keep going back to thinking about how Bennett claimed the team was playing for their NRL spots. I can't see that has changed much. They played for AOBs spot last game.

O’Brien should bottle and elevate whatever went right this week. Not overthink. Just build upon it. Ponga had the Dogs absolutely guessing what was coming at them. Perhaps his greatest club game.
Even though we carved them up the parts where we did not execute should be held up in equal measure. The support play was the best part. Players pushing up hungry for the ball. Forget the score. It is not the point. It is the fact we took a huge step forward.

Anybody think that Crossland isn't an NRL standard No.9(talon is what I'd like the new name for the No.9 to be) now?

I’m a bit baffled reading comments on social media and the other forum that AOB should now be safe after the weekend. It was a great result, but it was one game and we were playing the Bulldogs.

We play the Tigers after the bye and IMO we have to beat them convincingly for AOB to even survive more of THIS season.

After that we play Storm, Raiders, Bulldogs, Souths, Dolphins and Dragons for the rest of the year. I’d consider 4/6 of that the lowest pass mark and I’d want Storm and Bunnies to be good efforts at the least being at home. If we drop any of the other games he needs to go immediately. I’d consider the Raiders game winnable for a serious team considering we’ve already beaten them once this year.

Crosslands is better than was, not SOO that’s for sure, but becoming a very competent back up but not long time fill in at 9, more a 14 and will likely get better due to experience. Still need a capable 9 due to Brailey being injured long term.

He may be safe. He had a huge win. But it also ok for us to hold him up to account. His record should be far better. If anything the weekend’s result shows it took the cards to be on the table for his players to respond. Have always maintained it is not his coaching. It is the inability to get talented players to be at their best consistently. He is too soft on them when he should be furious . He feeds them too many we were close but no cigar stories. If I am him I am asking why it took for his job to be on the block for that to happen.

Exactly and Crosslands best moments weren’t from dummy half, it was in broken play as a support player. His service was still below par

Still too many crash plays to the forwards with the halves and Ponga screaming for the ball behind him. May have worked once against the Dogs but won’t get away with that against most teams. His support play was definitely good, but I don’t think any of us have any problems with Crossland’s effort.

His effort is NRL standard for sure. Remember not that long ago, he cried after a game and we were all riding his arse hard. He has been asked to play 80 minutes in a losing team in a position he has never played before. Been loving his effort but effort alone doesn't win premierships. I'm happy to keep him in the top 30 because he can cover quite a lot of positions and his defense in the middle is very solid.

Agreed with most of that except that he can cover a lot of positions, he can cover hooker and 5/8th, that’s it

Didn’t he play halfback, 7, quite a bit, more than 9 or 6 prior to this year
Yep but I don’t see him being able to lead and organise a team around, in any case he covers hooker and halves which is behind someone like Mann in terms of versatility
