Hooper’s massive scoop that threatened to derail the club really effected the team’s performance tonight!!

If we keep beating teams like the Storm or keep going on 3 game winning streaks, of course he can stay. We still outside the top 8 and nowhere near a top 4 side. I still say we need a better coach.

Says much more about you than it does about me.

Of course it does. That was my point.
Either way, AOB has done enough to see out his contract. The team is probably going better than it has during his term as coach. The club isn’t getting rid of him.

In agreement on this point, although I don’t think it warranted based on three weeks amongst seasons of O’Brien-ness. We ain’t winning shit at the pointy end, but I enjoyed our attack tonight for all but the first 15.
Now, what’s this about a corrupt former politician lobbying on behalf of the club?
Best be careful here.

Last night's performance has sealed O'Brien's spot for 2024.

Like my Tigers, your fans have experienced a lot of lean years. If (a) a team is able to show gradual improvement and (b) there is no better coaching option on the market....then you keep the present coach. On both counts, AOB ticks the boxes.

There is no question that the side has played better this year than last year. That last 25 minutes of the half showcased what your side can do if everybody clicks......that was bloody impressive.

A lot of your players have stepped up this year and improved on 2022. A massive positive is the new mindset of Ponga. Since (a) playing fullback and (b) dropped from Origin, the man's attitude and effort has been fantastic.....something you could not always say about him. When the best player in the team cares, normally the rest follow.
Gagai has regressed (but was decent last night) and your Saifiti brothers have not quite found the consistency button but the general trend is upwards. Gamble is up and down and his spot needs to be looked at in regard to the open market....seems to have a positive response on the team though. Brailey's spot (due to durability, not ability) needs a review as well. Hard to go basically seasons now without a class 9.

Well done guys! Hope you make the 8

Thanks Mate. My only disagreement would be re Gagai regressing. While he’s certainly not as a potent of a runner as he used to be (he’s getting old), his defence and pass selection has come on in leaps and bounds this season. There’s a reason Dom Young is one of the comp’s leading try scorers this year.

Gags defence last night on the edge was outstanding and I’m not sure we would have won if he didn’t come back. He’s had a couple of poor games this year but the whole team has. We’re lucky to still have him at his age and he’s one of the reasons I think we’ll survive losing Dom because whoever we play next to him on the wing will be looked after.

He’s definitely one player who I would say has improved some aspects of his game under our current coaching set up. In fact I would say all the outside backs have. It’s the forwards we seem to have a lot of trouble with, especially the Saifitis this year like you pointed out.

Should we be excited AOB is getting us wins? No. That's his job. I'll get on the bandwagon when he gets us into the top 4 or 6 for 2 or 3 seasons in a row.

My point is you only seem to show up when's its convenient to push your agenda, the rest of the time you are M.I.A

You even a true knights fan buddy? ;)
I mean, I have a life outside of this.

Also, I’ve been contributing to this forum longer than I reckon you’ve been alive, buddy.
