Sack Adam O'Brien

Not sure about sacking Obi but definitely think it’s a waste having a assistant brought in, he seems overloaded with them now.
Its Obi or a new coach not something in between

I very much doubt O'Brien would be sacked this week so the next best option is to bring a bloke with experience as a first grade coach and a Premiership winner.

That would have to be Shane Flannigan.

We all know O'Brien spent a decade at the Storm under the Master coach and was praised by Cooper Cronk (publicly) re his work ethic and time pent with Mlb players, one-on-one, to improve their game/skills. He was apparently the Roosters attack coach (is that right? or defence?) while he was there and Robinson didn't want to lose him.

So into the third season here and our attack is no different to the Brown years (save R1 and 2 this season) and we are softer than ever in the middle, lacking sustained physicality in everything we do.

Why?

I'm ready to jump on the bandwagon now. Even with a lack of talent in areas, he's clearly not getting anywhere close to the most out of the cattle available.

3 years in and still no identity, other than boring. Looked like they had figured something out with the attack in the first 3 rounds but that was a mirage.

I never agreed with getting rid of AOB but I’m ready to pass the hat around to buy KP a nice strawberry milkshake.
Part of coaching is getting your players mentally up for a game, and this seems to be a huge problem for us.

I wonder how Phil Gardner pitched AOB in negotiations with Kalyn.
- Don't worry Kalyn, he won't see out the year, but we have a great replacement lined up
Or
- we believe in AOB and he's building something special and you're a key part of that.

Why is Ponga going into first receiver?? If he needs to get the ball more, it's wider I'd the ruck or in broken field play.

Or backing up, like a fullback.

He was at dummy half on the fifth tackle 5m out from Parras line for reasons that aren't clear.

Someone else said it, he's got a fascination with Randall's arse parking himself behind the ruck most of the game.

Don't worry he likes Brailey's ass just as much.

We have very clear structure issues. Ponga looks as lost as ever in where to position himself (both attack and defense) and how to best inject himself. He's almost turning into the Bradman Best of fullbacks, just taking stupid runs that wont achieve anything because he can't get good enough ball.

Yes it's crazy.

I just don't know what is going on with the team.

We have a fullback that insists he is a fullback and plays like a half. Doesn't do the basic fullback role as expected of an NRL fullback.

He goes off for a HIA and who do we put at fullback? Our lock forward FFS! Any other NRL team done that? That same lock forward that our attacking structure has been built around apparently all pre season.

They are playing on the Anzac day weekend in front of 25,000 at home, and can't get themselves up for the game.

And we have OB coaching, and after taking over from Brown for a few season we are still the same dire one out attacking footy team (even though he was attacking coach for the Roosters and coached under Bellamy), and needs Andrew Johns around the pool table to work out an attacking structure?

Hell, I've even heard a player say in an interview when asked about playing next week they said something along the lines of depends what Joey thinks. Who the F is coaching the team again?

The bare minimum expectation is to compete hard and get the fundamentals to an acceptable NRL standard. If a coach can't even achieve that then he is on his way out.

Well, if Joey has a heap of input into this side then he needs to give it away.

I'm assuming he spends no time at the club during the week working with on the attack.

None whatsoever.
