Sack Brown

Okay... Let's say we get a good six. Let's say Munster. How does that change anything? We still run one out. We don't have any attacking structure or moves or set plays. Just relies on individual brilliance to beat a man and try to get a two on three on the outside. Same thing as Ponga. Will our attack really improve?

We still need a good 6, or 1, whether Brown is coach or not.

Lamb and Cogger were probably better juniors than Crossland, for whatever that is worth.
Maybe Lamb and Cogger looked better because our side was worse but if we give Crossland time and the right advice and coaching who knows what might happen. In the meantime we have Lino.

That's probably true but I think Crossland has a better build and will fill out much better physically which is one thing that'll always hold Cogger back. I think we probably didn't do a very good job in developing Lamb and Cogger either by putting them in before they were ready which really killed their confidence and also by surrounding them with park footballers. Also if recent history is anything to go by junior achievements means absolutely nothing.

I wouldn't even say recent history unfortunately :(

I'd say Uate was the last best junior and Paterson had some unreal potential and a great first few seasons. These guys were all over a decade ago. Nothing great besides DSaf at this stage and he still has a way to go.

There is some rumour going around that the Knights are calling a meeting tomorrow and Brown will only see out the year and then he is gone.
This was on the radio today.
Who knows.

If this is the case I would like to think the board has a superior coach lined up to replace him. Shane Flanagan would be at the top of my wish list. I could cop Adam O'Brien or hell even Brian Smith (but he would divide a lot of Knights fans, not here but on other forums). But I've got no time for Hook, Barrett, the Walker Brothers, Brennan or any other current NRL coach facing the sack (especially McBaldy). Under no circumstances...Michael Hagan or Rick Stone.

I feel as though the jury is still out on Brown. I'm not prepared to write him off completely until the season is actually finished. As a fan, my pass mark will be our team making the finals. If we make it, I'd support him staying a bit longer.

Now the scary part is, who is out there to replace him?

I bet Holbrook is fuming he took the GC job when this might have come up.
