My take from a broncos supporter
You guys should go after k Walter’s
Yes he not the best coach but give him a year or two he can spot young talent and at least bring some pride back in the jersey then when he built a good team that’s when you flick him for a upgrade
Couldn’t be any worse

If flannagan was fair dinkum he'd acknowledge that he's failed and come to an agreement sacrificing some money as a compromise.

If he doesn't give a shit about St George, he'll stay the full term.

The board aren't sacking him as they would be admitting they are also failures and wasting major $$$ on payouts.

I predict that Flanno will be going nowhere because he thinks he's bigger than the club.

Just remember if he stays the full term - Kyle will be set up for life monetary wise. So Shane ain't moving
Coaching is an impermanent business. I want him gone, but if we were silly enough to sign him long term, good luck to him. He probably won’t get another head coach job. He should get every cent.

I think Cooper Cronk said it correctly on SF's future as HC at the Dragons.

Shane will have until the bye to jag a win or 2. That's 3 games: Manly, Rabbits and Roosters (ANZAC DAY). They may reassess from there.

Personally, that presser was hard to watch, and even the ardent distractor would feel for him.

Again, the issue for me is who replaces him (if it comes to that)? Surely, we can't, and shouldn't, parachute the likes of DY or ME into the role as they are part of the current problem, are they not!
1 win changes nothing.
So its all good because we win a game.
The club is a joke if they think that.
But they are already a laughing stock.

What a f*(king sad situation we find ourselves in. We all finally breath a sigh of relief when Griffin is punted and we sign a premiership winning coach after our last success in 2010 was with a premiership winning coach. Seemed like a sensible move. It actually seemed like our clown show of an administration might actually be thinking for once.
Year one showed some vague signs of improvement although the roster just wasn't good enough to compete. Year 2 we knock off both grand final teams along with the minor premiers only to lose the games we should expect to win. Disappointing but you could argue we weren't far off. We sign our first genuine marquee in ages over the off season.
Year 3 starts off with a courageous game in Vegas in which we get absolutely dudded by appalling refereeing. And then the wheels come off. We're getting worse each week!!!! What hurts is the terribly insipid way we are losing. Fortunately last night I decided cooking dinner was a better use of my time than watching the Cowboys game but the game reports are brutal.
Was a card carrying member of Team Flanno but yeah this is looking grim. For me the Flanno time here has been a bit like the boiling frog syndrome. It seems I missed that the pot was slowly heating up and all of a sudden the water is boiling and we're cooked!
Maybe I should have paid more attention to the (mostly) panicked recruiting strategy. Kyle. Ilias (I always hated that signing). Guler. Gutho. Cook. Holmes. Reserve grade wingers. Bringing back a proven dud in Kerr.
The failure to adapt to the modern game. A game that's getting faster and more attack focused every year under Vlandysball and we're trying to what? Play the most boring, unimaginative, impotent style of football that opposition defenses must just laugh at.
The failure to learn from this and to not try something else. In fact to double down and refuse to change both team selections and game plans.
To break what would have been quite a handy 6 in Atkinson and instead try to make him into a 7.
With all of this in mind I just have to conclude that our coach has misjudged the modern game and its requirements disastrously. I can't see this being turned around.
How on earth can we be in a position in which we're actively going backwards and still looking a million miles from even contending from a mediocre 8th spot?!?!?
This will be the 8th year in a row we watch September from the sidelines. It's f*(king unforgivable. And probably a few more years in the wilderness to follow. Blow it up.

A good St George team is good for the league, and great for the local derby sacking the coach won't make any difference, how many coaches have come and gone and still get the same results maybe start blooding some juniors.
A good Dragons side is a big ratings and crowd booster for every game against Souths, Easts, Canterbury, Cronulla, Brisbane and Melbourne

I was a big supporter of hiring Flanno as I think most of us were.

With the current losing steak though, I am not so sure now

I think the thing that frustrates me the most is that he is picking and playing favourites with veterans over young and upcoming talent, in particular:
*Letting Jonah Glover go, leaving our halves youth and Depth in the sole hands of Kade Reed, who is simply not ready for the NRL.
*Letting go of Tamale and Finau, leaving our backs youth pretty much non existent. Setu Tu does his job but he is not young, Faale is too slow to be a wing (maybe centre is his position) and Buchanan seems to be to small to have a full time NRL starting spot.
*The one that shits me the most is playing plodders Lawrie and Guler over our clear rising star players of LPT, Halangau and Couchmen boys. Just have a feeling based on what Flanno is doing now, we will lose LPT and Halangau.

The only way Flanno can save face now is to complete changes with his lineups this Tuesday but we all know that ain't happening.

If all Healthy my preference would be:
1. Cutherson
2. Sloane
3. Suli
4. Val
5. Tu
6. Atkinson
7. Reed
8. LPT
9. Liddle
10. Toby Couchman
11. Egan
12. Sua
13. Stewart
14. Cook
15. Ryan Couchman
16. Halangau
17. Sele
18. Kerr
19. Guler
