I make a few observations about the press conference which others have raised, yet you seem determined to try and run me out of the forum today, which is hardly like you. You're also taking the approach others take regularly with myself, happy to dish it out, I give it back and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy

The concerns myself and others have raised today about our BOD and their professionalism are completely warranted, yes we have agreed it is great news, however that doesn't mean all of a sudden the people who made this decision are without question does it?

I have not attacked you today... I have just pointed out that your constant negativity and false narratives are tiresome.

Flanno is gone, you should be happy... lets leave it at that.

P.S In regards to your last paragraph... I have been more critical than most of the Board.

I have stated all along we need a total clean-out at all levels....so once again you miss the point.

If the Coach (whoever that might be) cannot convince quality players to come to the club, maybe, just maybe the club should consider looking deeper at itself.

Hes already done what Flanno failed to do for 3 years and dropped Kyle. After 1 day. Steps in the right direction IMO.

He should move Atko to left and let Reed play on RHS i think the attack will improve immensely.

That could be true but at a time when the club is possibly at its lowest point ever optics are important. It came across more like we're making it up as we go along.
Lancaster came across as an arrogant twat who didn't want to answer questions directly and was blaming media coverage on personal agendas.



I thought Watsford was fine, even if reading from a prepared statement, his face at looked like it was reflecting the gravity of the situation. I think he will be working diligently to get us moving forward.
Lancaster looked and spoke like he was annoyed to have been called down from his ivory tower to talk to the peasants.

OMG. Optics. Optics. Optics. In a world where everything is on social media instantly and being dissected in depth an hour or so later on various media platforms you can't just slop lazy stuff up like Lancaster did that day. Maybe in the 70's/ 80's/ 90's when that press conference would have been written up in the next day's newspaper but not in 2026 where everything is scrutinized so heavily and so quickly. For a self proclaimed "30 year media expert" Lancaster was actually demonstrating how clueless he was in regards to the modern media landscape.

Manly's official press conference was held on the next day with Foran actually there front and centre. When they went public they had all their ducks nicely in a row and they also didn't duck questions or blame the media.
On the other hand the Dragons held a press conference (which started 5 minutes late) in which it looked like they had no idea what they were doing and the out of touch and visibly arrogant "Chairman" was dodging questions about accountability, blaming media agendas and stating they did not know who they were going to appoint. Every single media outlet, regardless of affiliation, tore shreds off them for the amateur way they went about it and justifiably so. One podcast was openly laughing about how bad that presser was.

So huge difference.

Anyway they've now made a decision on the interim and it looks like some interesting and positive changes are rolling out in the football department. I suspect that Watsford is far more involved in these changes than Lancaster the WIN corp buffoon is.
