Theres a short list of coaches that we are not mentioning here that could be available on request and I reckon the Dragons are looking at them ......I dont think Flanagan will ever be a choice its too obvious...heres my likst of potentials in no order
- Kristian Woolf (brother already w us next season)
- Adrian Lam
- Mick Potter
Yes, I would hope Woolf is a goer.

Haven’t they announced K Woolf as Dolphins assistant for the next two years and head coach from 2025?
As far as I can see, Kristian Woolfe has not reached any agreement to be assistant coach at the Dolphins. There is nothing on the Dolphins website and media reports going back about a month ago say this:

Would we have any chance of getting him as well as his brother to coach at our club and if so, would he be a better coach than what is currently available?

I dont get this.
He is our best 7 ATM. That is not being smug.
Why move him to 9 cause we are weak there.
Sullo will have his chance to show he can manage and orchestrate a team at 7.
He aint quite ready yet.
That has been obvious if you had of watched reggies which is a big step down.
Well unfortunately we have gone nowhere with Ben orchestrating in the last 5 years.
He is like one of the conductors who overplays his hand and the rest of the Band are out of rhythm with no idea what they are playng.
It's time for CHANGE.

That maybe and a matter of opinion for the future but Griffin cant of changed what he has done thus far in respect to our 7. That is what this is about
he is arguably in the top 6 7's going around ATM, regardless if he is handy at 9
And the problems we have are not Ben's doing that is for sure.

At least he hasn't been picked up for drink driving yet like the OP's man Mary.

The problem is for a number of years both Mary and Hook
very unimaginative game plans
power game , dragons footy
no offloads , no speed , flat attack , no support play , one off hit ups no support even if they make a break , always getting set to do a single 4 th tackle play and a variable quality kick on the 5 th
No heads up footy , no trying to attack early in the tackle count like good teams do, good teams always seem to have players in motion and at least try to confuse defences.

other teams laugh at saints
I know an assistant coach at a top 4 team
tells me they love playing saints and view it as an easy 2 points
land yes it always is for them
they know exactly what to expect , no plan B and plan A is crap
they only have to defend 1 or 2 tackles a set as there is never much on offer
lots of dumb errors, silly penalties and six agains

this is the footy both Mary and now Hook almost the same

we are totally uncompetitive against most top 4-6 sides and could barely beat the worst side in the comp last week. We in fact didn’t win it, they lost it through total stupidity

we are so far off the mark set by good clubs it’s not funny

this is the coach and the game plans he wants Saints to play
it’s rubbish

so much player discontent , more and more players and it’s not going away

He seems humourless, boring and tedious to listen to
No wonder players don’t want to listen and don’t want to play for the coach . Again the good teams have coaches the team respects and will play hard for

sadly not the situation at saints

Watch the SOO series again from this year….game 1 & 3 in particular- bit more than a handy 9, he kills it at 9, sorry. At 7 hes helped us into 1 semi final series only during his stay, Sullivan is the future, utilise Hunt at 9 and have him help take Sullivan to the level required - he aint gonna learn it in reggies at this stage.

He may have had the number 9 on his back, but count the minutes he played at dummy half. Most of his dominance was playing one off the ruck, not dummy half.

That is it, all in a nutshell, Mjab. We all can see the weaknesses the Dragons have and the better teams need only play in second gear against us. We might win 47% of the games in a season against mainly the weaker teams but we are so far off being able to beat the top teams that even if we make the finals (8th position at best), we would be cannon fodder.

The guys in the head office surely can see this as well. If not, THEN WAKE UP!

So with Hook looking like a goner, its time to look at his achievements and failures.
Achievements, he signed Su’a and Suli. Good signings. Not like Nicho Hynes brilliant signings but good signings none the less.
Failures, everything else. Attack, defence, discipline, all absolutely diabolical.
Team moral, terrible.
There has been zero improvement from round 1 to round 24 of this season, if anything we have regressed.
We’ve become a target for the media and the laughing stock of our rival fans. Sharks are having a field day as we plod Aaron Woods out EVERY week.
Cannot wait to see the back of Hook, he’s been worse than anyone could have imagined.

Our player depth is so bad - Aaron Woods is typical of the type of players this club seems to be able to recruit. You mentioned Nicho Hynes Crush and he is the type of talent that this club just cannot recruit. Why can't we and why has this been ongoing for years? We thought that signing Ben Hunt during Mary's coaching days with us that he was going to be our saviour as we were dying to get a "proper" half back to help Widdop. Consistent good results didn't happen.

Failure to get a well balanced squad in the right positions from full back to hooker has been our problem coupled with less than average coaching staff. Players who actually want to play for the Dragons not just to get paid.

The club may have identified the errors of their ways and might have tried to get the best in the way of players and coaches but they cannot even get this done.

Being tagged the "laughing stock" doesn't go down all that well and our lack of "appeal" seems to have "streamed" its way throughout the club scene. We have got to change our image somehow and this is something that the club needs to do as soon as possible.

So another miserable failure
for the imbocilic lot that run our club this season. Let see how these
fools screw us next season.
That should be lots of fun.
