Latts went well again but Simms was really strong tonight. I thought he was one of our best. Unfortunately made that bad read, it was his only blemish, albeit a costly one.

I thought Simms redeemed himself in the 2nd half with some great hard runs. But he should have been hooked & sat in the corner for 10 mins after he let the 1st try in.
Sometimes you just need to give a champion player like him a chance to redeem himself. It wasn't good but he doesn't often make those mistakes. I am glad he had a strong rest of the match without setting the world on fire.

Simms was ordinary in the 1st half and well and truly stepped up in the 2nd however he struggles as an edge player and will continue to do so.
Re Latimore he took the ball up strongly and did offload which was good but you need to have a look at the flip side and see how slow he was in line speed as the Sharks put on a surge.
They made lots of easy metres in the middle and that is part of the issue with Latimore his good attacking work can be very easily undone by being ponderous in defence and giving away stupid penalties as a result of it.
It should be on record that I have never thought that he doesn't try hard or give it his best.

Never set the world on fire they are just hard and tough. He made 1 mistake, it happens occasionally when you constantly put your body on the line, just ask Tyson he coughed one stupid penalty when he didn’t have to. Playing in those positions in a forwards battle game like tonight something has to give. No forward stood out tonight they just belted each other

I thought AhMau stood out tonight. Every touch had anticipation, hit and drive, throw a shark, off load....

I was disappointed when Latimore was selected over some of the others.

But he has played well both games.

Also watching the ISP game last week some of the other candidates need a bit of work.

I don't think Host played this week so he may have been selected if fit.

It's a long season and others will get their chance.

For now the 4th prop spot is his to lose.

Latimore, whether you agree with his signing or not, has certainly delivered, especially against the Sharks. You cannot ask much more from a player than to play beyond their ability. He did that tonight. Some good runs and a couple of great offloads. Well done.
Latimore comes across as a bit of a gentle giant but last night he looked pumped and really stuck it to the Cronulla forwards.
Maybe he had a point to prove to his previous club but he was great tonight.
Credit where credit's due.
