Massive beat up with "experience" equating to 3 premierships with the West devils in the Illawarra coal league.

AT last Bulldogs fans can throw their hands up and rejoice that Des Hasler, one of the major pieces to the disastrous puzzle at Belmore, has left the kennel.
It came as a move by the board which is without a doubt an attempt to save face ahead of February’s AGM, but for this Bulldogs fan it’s too little too late.

Hasler brought a world of experience to the club and after proving his worth with a grand final appearance in his first season with the club, he deservedly became a hero to fans.

After a period of treading water in 2011 when Kevin Moore was shown the door and Jim Dymock tried his hand at the top job but couldn’t quite secure it, Hasler was the stability the club needed and the fans wanted.

However, somewhere around mid-2016 things went sour. Some of our players lost their spark and success started to decline. Scoring a try never looked harder for a team that was made up of so much talent and experience.

The Bulldogs fans speak and action is taken, what a difference between success and failure.
We fail thanks to Doust and our inept board!

Look at bulldogs and souths - they remove past successful coaches if they fail to perform while our Board and CEO make comments like:

"9th was higher than anyone expected" - Illawarra mediocrity has invaded our old culture of never surrender
"It's a rebuilding year" - yawn"

So now it seems that Jason Demetriou is the hot tip to land the Titans head coaching role based on his excellent coaching performance & achievements. Yet our mob let him walk out the boys club corridor and door in order to keep Mcf**knuckle. Talk about missed a golden opportunity that was blatantly staring you in the face. Others can see it yet our club is blinded by agendas & inbreeding.

I find it amazing that Des Hasler was sacked in such dramatic circumstances, considering before he arrived at Belmore the dogs were basically going backwards very very fast..I think dogs will end up with there own McWreckor!

Amazingly for such a supposedly well run and rich club, that they would dump one of the most experienced coaches to pick up a rookie....and to just add some more spice, lets call in the Lawyers from Des !!!

No it's a completely different membership structure that gives them a powerful voice, as the Board would be turfed out .. they have done it to save their backsides..

An exercise in arse covering and convenience.
You watch JD become a great coach somewhere else while we remain geniused in the coaching department.
All they had to do is compare qualifications and decide based on results, and performance and JD would be our coach now.
For some mysterious, self serving reason, that is not what happened.
One of the worst decisions the club has made in the last decade.
