The St. George/Illawarra relationship was NEVER a merger: check your facts.

Under the new arrangement with WIN Corp., Saints are a so-called stand alone club again. On the other hand, the Steelers are financially stuffed. If it weren’t for the aforementioned organisation and the NRL, top level rugby league on the South Coast would go belly up very quickly.
