What a difference it is to hear Mary being interviewed on NRL 360 against other coaches like Seibold, Maguire, Robinson, Bellamy. These others are smart, thoughtful, honest, measured and articulate in getting their views across to the media and fans.
If it was a horse race they would be champion thoroughbreds, whilst Mary really is a donkey! Out of his league, but somehow popular.

The question posed by Kent was why we hadn’t applied for cap relief. Mary’s initial response was ‘dear in headlights’ “you have to ask Ian”. He then proceeds explains it (reliance on JDB court case). Pathetic.

I sensed Kent gave up on the interview given the ridiculous answers he was getting. Why flog a dead horse? I did smirk when Kent asked 2 or 3 times for confirmation the rotating spine was out of necessity given injuries to key forwards.
