OK, the real McGregor has finally surfaced with the "some players" comment.

You want every player to following your instructions. Well guess what, they are and hopefully you won't be around for too much longer as they have down tools.

It gets more depressing, thank goodness the Titians are playing MEL because if they win we would be last.

ha...yeah 5 minute token meeting.
"The board had decided at this present stage that Paul is the best man to lead us out of this slump and rebuild to where we need to be. We have decided to sack the high performance staff instead as the team are not performing highly". We will be making no further comment!
I'm thinking Mcgregor's due for another assistant isn't he? What's he got now, about 10?

If they are meeting on Tuesday to discuss future, it has nothing to do with the coaches future, otherwise they would have called any urgent meeting Saturday morning. like the Titans did.
Maybe this Frizell rumour has spooked them? Dragons with another Friday night game FTA game with more unwanted attention to the Club if we cop another cricket score against us..

The thing for me is that we've had a lot of disappointment under McGregor, but even when we were going 'good' I never really had full on belief in the team. And each time my feelings were confirmed by a massive let down. I struggle to think of many games where we put in a near perfect performance with him as coach, in all the many years he's been in charge, especially up against a great team in strong form. I challenge anyone to find one. The best win was that one in the semi last year, or the game where we smashed Melbourne with Aitken of all people running rings around them.

Took this from Rothfield's column.

The meeting TUESDAY WILL NOT discuss Mary.

ST George Illawarra’s board will meet on Tuesday to discuss the team’s dismal premiership campaign but chief executive Brian Johnston says coach Paul “Mary” McGregor’s position won’t be discussed.

Mary signed a two-year extension at the beginning of the year so there’s no heat at the moment,” Johnston said. “We’ve got to hang in and stay positive. Mary’s working 12 to 14 hours a day.

“No doubt, team performances will be a point of discussion but not the coach specifically.”

Pls dont build up hope that he will be gone, even if we spoon it.

That's really depressing.

Johnston sounds like a Facebook group #D4L supporter

WTF does occupy him for 12 - 14 hours a day ? Johnston is really coming across as arrogant and definitely right in the middle of the boys club

Johnston the grub fits in perfectly with the Dragon's culture. Impotent and incompetent.
