My way of thinking is to support what we have and stop the negativity and criticism, How long is it since you guys have coached at this level. I believe we need a new coach however McGregor is who is doing the job. Lets support him and the club.
No.

Whilst it is likely that you're stuck with Mary for 2017, I don't think the club or Mcgregor deserves the support of those who give away their hard earned and invest emotionally into the club when they so freely and arrogantly ignore the fans and the clubs interests.

The title of this thread just doesn't make any sense?! I don't know anyone called "Coach McGregor", I only know the buffoon our CEO/Board appointed as our NRL team's babysitter?!

Since 2010, Sharks go through how many scandlas, changed CEO's, won a spoon or 2, and win a comp a few years later. Saints have had no limelight and have done fu&$ all. Why, simple, because they make poor choices in recruitment and coaches. The 2 simple things that the Sharks have done right since 2010. 2 freakin simple and more important tasks which Saints are the worst perfomed since 2010. Even the Knights recruited well in that period better than the Saints. They may be last now but they will eventually improve.

We should know by now, you need a decent coach or you may as well not be competing. All those years we had star studded teams but could never win until Bennett came along. McGregor is bargain basement, and I have lost respect for him because he isn't man enough to put his hand up and say "I'm not good enough".

Pretty sure there was a "Sack Flanno" thread on the Sharks forum a couple of years ago which had the same sort of sentiments as what is being expressed in here. ....and now they want to give him the key to the city!

Who knows what might happen down the track.

I'm with Sheridan Stand, let's keep this thread right up the top each day all over Summer.

I'm sure now that the season is over that Doust and Mary will be hoping things settle down.

Well stuff that, let's all up the ante on this thread right until a new head coach is appointed.

Give yourself an uppercut. According to you there's only about 50 humans in the world in a position to pass judgement on McGregor's coaching ability.

Hi Emu 52
I take it form your name you are a baby boomer and have seen the highs and lows of the mighty Dragons.
No doubt we had the best of it for a long time and basked in the riches of the club, its history and success.
Many of the posters here have only read about it and long to see something like what we enjoyed.
If not for Facer and the likes our memories may well look like what is on offer today namely poor quality football, bad roster and plenty of misery.
If that was the case we would have done plenty of bitching and demanded better but because we had it so good for so long we have probably became tolerant.
I think it only fair that in the modern world that people live up to their KPI's and reap the rewards or suffer the consequences.
In Mary's case he has achieved next to nothing if not less than nothing as a coach and the Taj and KJO are mere remnants of a former glorious time and the BOD have allowed it to happen.
The silent majority may have moral strength but will be forever screwed over in the modern society.
I would like my grandson to see the a great Dragons side and if possible a few premierships but unless we can get change he will end up following some other team because there is nothing here at the present time to excite anyone.

Using your logic and subject to age, how did you vote at the last election if you're not a politician?

Although your post is so dopey you may well be Jackie Lambie.

How much exactly is Mary on? We've rumoured to have signed Paul Vaughn on 1.7m deal, put together this far reaching committee on how much ch $ , but can't find the cash to ditch Mary? Surely we could have brought JD into FG on 1 year deal plus existing assistants - it would have been the least disruptive move if Cleary in fact did knock us back?? What a bunch fools we have at the helm...

Been saying the same thing.
Clearly something our board and Management don't have is common sense.

It makes you wonder if the board factored in any backlash with regards to memberships, sponsors, crowds etc. They made a short sighted choice all in an attempt to save face and keep the boys club together.
