Sack mcgregor

Speedy,
I would really have liked fittler and johns to come out and say WHY players shouldnt go to saints and have them tell the world that mcgregor is struggling as a coach ( I ve said it as nice as i could) Then if it was their opinion it would give us all a lot of confidence re the board being a bit more proactive

Agree
I guess the Media doesn’t like to bite the hand that feeds it

And players are loathe to criticise a coach

....where they have seen the destruction of Quade’s career for openly criticising McKenzie, with the persecution IMO taken even further by Thorn.

I know there were other issues, but I lost interest in Union after the execution of our X-factor

It’s interesting to watch Johns, Fittler & Co beat around the bush re Waterboys’s required sacking - creating a laughable dictionary of synonyms & euphemisms in the process.

Soward, who knows, comes closest to calling a spade a spade - and Waterboy’s in the hole of his own making
I am desperate for the NRL to restart on May 28 for one reason only. It means we get closer to McWrekor being sacked. I don't care if we win another game I just want him gone now and if it means losing every remaining game this year so be it.

I want the McWrekor 2014-2020 virus gone.
For that reason alone, l want the season to start.

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised to see you lot willing to un-flatten the curve if it means the McRiddance scenario will finally come to pass.

You are a ( understandably) brutal lot. Not able to feel any more pain. Numb.

It’s scary to think what Mez has in store for the squad with all of this time alone in his den and with his whiteboard.

He’s the worlds greatest bloke and the marquee water attendant of our era.

But it seems to me, hes cursed as a coach. I mean serious enfestered demons and ghouls are partying in his grimacing and cowering soul.

In which case, he needs to get the highly paid gus gould rigged review meditation experts over for a f**king exorcism.

Dress up Bennett in the holy frock gear and he can come over and expel the demon elephant in the room.

No Mary, your paddles won’t work against Wayne’s sarcastic powers. Not even the 85 you throw at him, whilst vomiting up yet another excuse for a loss.

Mary needs to be a rookie again. A rebirth in a heaven of Gatorade waterfalls.

Mary is the only coach in the nrl hoping these weeks when no-one is playing.... counts as a draw. True that.

Overseas at the moment - stuck in Philippines with no international flights so cannot go home or back to US.

Liquor ban in place as well .......

So waited for my watchnrl.com to come on this afternoon.

You beauty - turn the tele on and bloody hell - Sam Burgess and Braith Anasta for two hours.

I don't know what is worse - McGregor coaching Saints or these two on a cable sports show. - boring and hopeless

BTW - worked out what is wrong with the Matty John's show - no Finchie - they replaced him with Burgess.

Bring back the Finch and Hughes for Controvery Corner - come on Kentie I know you read this thread.

God it's like pulling teeth.watching these two on television.

Next thing you know is that Fox will give James Graham his own show ...........

28th day of quarantine (martial law) - only allowed 300 meters from your house and complete liquor ban.

Sorry for the rant

Lol

But we’d still be 14th?
Or was it equal 13th improving on our 15th

-& 16th in home attendances?

(that last stat’s the killer Albert)

Happy to be a cellardweller for 2020 & 2021 again Andrew?

Stats say so mate - and they don’t lie.

Get the chequebook out Andrew (or Bruce)

He is a dear friend after all?
So much easier

Do it now

& you’ll hear roaring from The Hill & be remembered as Club saviour rather than a failed Waterboy’s lackey wincing from the hard gaze of ghosts from the past.

And just for the record, the Board might be able to explain the anomaly that beating the wooden spooners Titans saved him in 2019:

“Dragons Set To Sack Paul McGregor If His Side Loses To The Titans This Weekend

ON THE RUSH HOUR WITH MG
5 September 2019

YWdl

The future of Paul McGregor as St George Illawarra Dragons coach hinges on the result of this weekend’s last round clash with the Titans”

....but then losing to the Tigers & Panthers at home, after a full preseason, elicits continued support from the new CEO & Board?

Must’ve been some serious bum/sucking done over Xmas

It’s the classic schoolkid’s ‘participation certificate’ handed out to strugglers.

Flanno in comic mode - with more tongue-in-cheekers than a whorehouse -
that are code for sacking heading your way:

“I’d be very surprised. The club is 100 per cent behind Paul McGregor, he’s doing a really good job. We didn’t get off to a great start but who knows what the rest of the season holds,” he said.

After now 7 yrs (with more props than a coal mine FMD) of McGoner we all know “what the rest of the season holds” Flanno.

7 years of unspun fuc/king stats tell us.
Don’t they Albert & Andrew?
...you know the things the business world relies on

Anyway, I’m sure the Board can do some nice gold embossed certificates for Waterboy for his imminent departure.

And if NRL’s predicted May resumption teamsheet is anything to go by, then we’ll need to add ‘try harder’ & ‘still needs to dump underperforming friends’ to both his report & Flanno’s hilarious list of euphemisms for a failed coach eh Andrew

St George Illawarra Dragons
 1. Matt Dufty
 2. Jordan Pereira
 3. Brayden Williame
 4. Tim Lafai
 5. Zac Lomax
 6. Corey Norman
 7. Ben Hunt
 8. James Graham
 9. Cameron McInnes
 10. Paul Vaughan
 11. Tyson Frizell
 12. Tariq Sims
 13. Blake Lawrie
 14. Issac Luke
 15. Korbin Sims
 16. Tyrell Fuimaono
 17. Trent Merrin
Supplementary Report:

“Favourites remain at 2 & 4
Backline unbalanced yet again
Tendency to deflect responsibility for poor performance to others
Has been relocated in class from sitting beside Euan due to incessant chatter & the passing of notes
Clear need for another psychological assessment to detect evidence of rudimentary mental function
Needs to stop suc/king arse”

I couldn’t see McGregor naming anyone else. Depending on Lafais mental health at the time we may actually see Saab get a crack again with Lomax in the centre? I feel like I’d be way more confident and content with Pereira, Lomax, Williame and Saab on our edges. Plus surely Kerr will get more of a crack, if he was used properly he’d be an absolute tank, same as Eddie Blacker he’s a unit

He does work hard that great coach of ours. What could possibly he be working hard at...at the monent. Games plans for our next game V ?. Is he still reviewing Round 1 & 2 over and over trying to work out where and how we lost it and still who to blame and single out in the next press conference. Or is he watching the 9's over and over and the 85 min game from a GF thinking.."see.. I just about had my hands on a trophy..I did".
I hear he still has not spoken to LAM since that game after he chucked the pen down after the one on one strip. Mind boggles!
I suppose we are lucky our DNA and culture is a hard working one...successful..maybe another time.

Surely this Bennett rumour, even if it’s being hosed down, suggests Mehry is possibly on the outer.
Still 0-2 until proven otherwise with a horrendous record for our last 20-30 games overall.

The NRL’s most accomplished coach won a premiership with the Dragons in 2010, and a poor start to the season has heaped pressure on current mentor Paul McGregor, who has held the reins for six seasons for minimal success.

However, speaking on Fox League on Wednesday night, Flanagan said he couldn’t see the Dragons considering a coaching change now in the middle of the coronavirus shutdown.

“I’d be very surprised. The club is 100 per cent behind Paul McGregor, he’s doing a really good job. We didn’t get off to a great start but who knows what the rest of the season holds,” he said.

“The club is really united and working really hard from top to bottom and I’d be really surprised if that was on the club’s agenda, especially at the moment.

“We’re all working hard and he’s working harder than everyone else and to think that they’re going to have a coach change in this period of time is way off the mark.”

Although Bennett is contracted until the end of 2021, the Rabbitohs have named his successor in Jason Demetriou, meaning his time at the club will come to an end next season.

The 70-year-old has not ruled out retirement, but has previously spoken of his desire to continue coaching at an NRL level.

Meanwhile, the Dragons will lose representative star Tyson Frizell to Newcastle next season and Flanagan said the club will struggle to find a replacement.

“The trouble with at the moment, we’re in a holding pattern,” he said.

Wayne Bennett’s tenure with the. Even Flanno is saying Mary is doing a great job ..... Sickening in saying that Flanno knows that if Bennett does come he is no chance of coaching , so by saying Mary is doing a good job ( don't know how ) he is a chance of taking over ....

was interesting when flanno was asked how he had to remember he was not allowed to coach - his response was yes its hard I offer my thoughts and say Id do it this was BUT supercoach does it that way NOT that he is doing it wrong ............ ????
then when they mentioned recruitment it was like yes its a big nursery and I wont be able to look at it until next year !!
They also mentioned how he goes and watches lower grades - something supercoach finds beneath him .And I cant comment on what needs to be fixed I arrived when there were massive changes occuring
and yes that coded line lost our first 2 not what we wanted but lets see what happens later in the season ........ sounds like i am getting all my ducks in a row for assissting shep as 1st grade coach.
Flanno seemed fairly sure of ideas / plans he is going to implement for 21..... and further ..
