Sharp: Hey NRL, we've moved with, adjusted and placed procedures that reflect 51 of the 52 governance reviews recommendations. We cant agree that board elections every year is a win in the current climate. Maybe after the next elections when we have had a fair run and those flogs Spago, and Fitzy have run out of oxygen, but allow us that period, but maybe not even.

NRL: 52 is 52 its gunna be -4 points

SS: We'll appeal (not sue)

NRL: do what you gotta do


Why wouldnt you support Parra's claim, its not wrong by default and as has been pointed out, no one knows that this isnt the narrative.

No pom pom's, I simply don't have the full story and the NRL are no more transparent then you mob are asking Parra to be, so I think it is reasonable to back Parra (not sharp, he isnt the whole club BTW)

if they dock 4 points because of this stupid yearly voting idea then Sharp should tell them there's no point in adopting the recommendations

I don't even like Sharp, but he is a million times more reasonable than you when speaking on an issue (and yes, he often sounds like he has slugged half a dozen schooners before answering questions)

Why should they be praised for something every other club will be doing??? Starting on an even keel lol, having to have 119 recommendations proposed and having a - 4 fine hanging over our heads was a good thing?? :crazy:

The NRL doesn't want a 'maybe'. It wants a definite plan put in place. They are not saying the changes need to be done tomorrow. But a 'maybe' changes nothing. I don't see why the current board are against putting a new plan around governing changes. Are they that worried that they are doing such a terrible job that Spags and Fitzy will beat them? Haven't they won the last 2 elections? Why would that change if we don't start on -4?

Also, how long would an appeals process take in the supreme court? i'm guessing ages. Would the season be over before the appeal came to a conclusion? And then what? The appeal becomes a massive waste of time. It's not as if they will let us start on positive 4 the next season

Not sure about doing a 'great' job. Maybe satisfactory. There are 15 other chairman who's clubs won't be losing 4 points. Does that mean they are all doing a great job? And 15 of them haven't been told to make 100 odd changes to the way they run their club.
