Not sure about doing a 'great' job. Maybe satisfactory. There are 15 other chairman who's clubs won't be losing 4 points. Does that mean they are all doing a great job? And 15 of them haven't been told to make 100 odd changes to the way they run their club.

If it is almost certain that you will lose 4 pts but you are able to avoid it then that is a job well done in that instance.

It is possible to do well during moments of shit.

He's more worried about being voted out then the good of the club

In this case, Sharp staying in power is for the good of the club. This is because he is obviously anti-faction. We know this because he gets attacked from both sides.

As for whether or not they'll be voted out on the back of a confirmed -4 penalty, that's almost certainly out of Sharp's hands. It's not a unilateral decision and he's no puppet master controlling the board. If it doesn't suit individual board members to agree to the recommended governance changes they won't agree to it. And because Sharp is the focus of the hate I'd say plenty of the board members think they'll survive any member outrage off the back of letting Sharp be the fall guy.

And our voting members have proven they love a scapegoat.

The points deduction is due to our incompetence when Sharp and co were in power. Now i know it wasn't all their fault but certainly they contributed. If they dig themselves out of the hole they have dug themselves then I wouldn't call it a great job. As I mentioned before, I would call it a satisfactory job.

True. In some ways Sharp is on a hiding to nothing.

The people in charge have had their hands tied for about a decade. Just like all elected leaders in the age of social media.

You're the one who wants to blame one person for everything. The fact is when shit goes wrong it's everybody's fault.
Blaming the fans who have nothing to do with any of the poor decisions that have been made the last 5 years isn't looking at deflecting blame and looking for a scapegoat????

By the way when are you making me my Sharpy Banner merkin????

This is what i don't get.
Why do people think there is always a single person responsible when things don't go to plan?

Whether in politics, sport, the workplace, anywhere... if a decision is made by an individual then it would be crazy not to have checks and balances in place and if the decision is made by a group then why does one person always get singled out.

Of course there are "Caraige" moments when 1 person makes a mistake but i dont think this is the case in relation to our cap spend amd neither do the NRL.
