I'm not saying it's cut and dried at all (have a look at my previous posts in this thread). What I'm saying is that it is not as simple as our board making a decision on the recommendations. In this situation, if we believe that some of the recommendations can't / shouldn't be implemented, there is another interested party.....the NRL. So (assuming we wish to avoid the points penalty), they need to agree to whatever approach we take. And they may well agree that some of the recommendations are not workable (or workable in the short-term). What I disagree with is all the posts suggesting that we just tell the NRL to get stuffed, and that we are being 'picked on'. We are in this situation because of our own historical incompetence.

Of course, if we can't come to an agreement, we can just cop the 4 points.

fair enough, I wouldn't argue with any of that.

Maybe our chairman should re direct his calls to our CEO instead of pressing the answer button.

Yep was talking about this with a mate over the weekend. The journos may not know who Boulos is and have Sharp's number as he has spoken to the media previously but he should be directing them onto our CEO who deals with the day-to-day operations of the club.

Sharp is a former footballer who speaks with emotion; often with the mouth in motion before the brain is engaged - very similar to a Ray Price style. The media thrive on this!
Boulos speaks from a street wise business perspective and clearly understands how to best respond to sensitive issues.
I totally agree that Sharp should direct media questions to his more experienced CEO. Well said "Obscene Assassin"

Met John a few times and heard him talk in front of a group of people, he should be our 'go to' man by a country mile
