Would you rather he just docked us the points last year and not given us the opportunity to avoid the deduction? Or gave us less time to comply?

I think El D was referring to the obvious leaks to the media from within the NRL about a most sensitive matter, which deserves a high level of confidentiality.

Why arent we just making the change the NRL wants, avoiding the -4, and then changing back at seasons end? They can't threaten -4 again (unless we are cheating this year?)

Maybe because the change isn't a simple one and while your idea may get us out of trouble for 2016, the NRL could choose to rescind our NRL licence if we didn't maintain the changes (or impose any other penalty of their choosing).

Good news. New site made up of a few blokes from the other site and forty20. They have some great stuff on there. If they are claiming a compromise might have been met I'd be inclined to believe them.

Couldn't agree more mate. However I think if they didn't put the team first in avoiding the -4 it wouldn't bode well for them in the next election anyway.

I think that's it mate, they realised that if we start the season on - 4 they were out on their arses no matter what the constitution looks like.

I was thinking the same thing. Not really in the best interest of the club if board members are prepared to lose 4 points for their own personal interest. If this were true even if they finally agreed to changes to avoid the -4 they are not the type of people any organization would need on a board.
