He used to be in the front row with Big Red remember? I think they will team up brilliantly again and give us some right mungrel for our backs to run riot with....

Big Sam is out of form, but fitness isn’t terrible I assume. I think we need money spent elsewhere, but he would bring impact for sure.

Only issue is holding back younger players like Kerr

They aren't going to release any player like that.
Some lower class player not Morris .

The question remains, why did Millward retain Aitken and Lafai long term when he could have had a centre combo of say Lomax and any one of the current exciting centres on the market at the end of 2018.

I have heard that Kasiano has been picked up by a super league club however, if we were to sign him it should have been for one season with an option in favour of the Club. At minimum wage, he is a bargain for at least one year. If he does not work out he would be a cheap buy for ISP and good competition for our young up and coming props.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not believe we need Allgood or Latimore as Graham is enough of a mentor who provides leadership and a good example to our young props. Kasiano would just be competition who has first grade experience and real impact off the bench.

Under a world class coach Kasiano finished in Qld Cup so that is enough for me to know he is shit and to be avoided at all cost.

Thank *#@^ for that.

The press are a cess pool of false reporting and sensationalism. Is it no coincidence the Kasiano has signed with the Catalan DRAGONS.

Maybe this was always the direction he was taking and was never in our sights.

Melbourne tried to turn Kasiano into a beg lean prop because they wanted to play longer minutes and a quicker style of game. We would have been happy for him to provide impact off the bench while Vaughan is having his 10-15min rest.

Fantastic news we dodged a bullet right there.

I hope you are right. We definitely have some good young props. If they are used and make an impact then your statement is 100% correct. To do this I think they need a level of physicality (strength/power and size). Not just run up and be tackled one on one.

Without being too negative I feel our forwards will need to dominate to compensate for our inexperienced outside backs. Having said that we went alright last year, so let’s just wait and see.

I have a real hope that Kerr will become a presence and I also like the little I’ve seen of Timm. Leilua still concerns me with his efforts in covering defence but I think he’ll be a beast in attack. I still feel Lawrie is still a little under strength (although it’s only a suspicion). If he and or Kerr has a big year we will be right up there.

I agree with you and so the question needs to be asked, will Mary ensure players are picked on form and their capacity to dominate the opposition in attack and defence.

The selections he makes for our backline will have a very big influence on our chances in 2019.

There are multiple media reports that Kasiano has signed a 3 year deal with the Catlans Dragons. It is expected official confirmation will be forthcoming in the next 24 hours. Here are some of the links to the media reports -

True Possum. Other teams will look to expose inexperience and/or deficiencies in the backline and this is sure to occur unless Mary gets it right. If he doesn’t he has to make changes accordingly. Of course there maybe some exceptions to this rule ie. Ravalawa (nabbed from club football) he may be rocks and diamonds to begin with, but I hope he is given a little leeway.

All the talk will be our spine but I also think the non-established forwards could potentially play a big part. IMO Kerr, Host, Lawrie, (and possibly Timm and Robson) should be in the 17 most weeks, certainly more than they were last season. This could potentially be our foundation for improvement.

Reports are that Kasiano took the three year deal offered overseas.
