I feel like those criticising Tomkins weren't watching the game. Tomkins menaced the Knights defense every time he had the ball, and I was most worried when it was him or Johnson on the ball.

He made one error under huge pressure and that sucks, but he was also one of the Warriors' best today. Not sure why people are so eager to rubbish a guy who had the guts to come down here and try himself in the top league.

Tomkins had a good game tonight. It's just that when he makes a mistake, everyone rams in down his throat ( not in the bunniesman way)

If he was measured with the same yardstick as everyone else, he would be praised.

His catch under pressure on their goaline was one if the plays of the day

If Tomkins doesn't make the break a couple plays before they're not even in position to score, still though no excuses he should've executed that play better, double pump seemed like the go. Is he better than Hayne, Inglis, Slater or Stewart? No. But that doesn't mean he isn't good. Easy yards up the middle and edge defence lost that game.

Spot on.. Anyway he's had rocks and diamonds moments this year but with a full season under his belt he'll hopefully be in top form come 2015. Great player to watch and will prove his critics wrong

Bullshit - we were flattered by the scoreline... and the tries were scored in the corner

We've been rubbish for a few weeks now (shows how shit Canberra are tbh) - cream rising to the top, and we're not that good this year...

McFadden's tactics are an issue too - playing Matulino on the edge leaves the middle soft, why on earth he brought Leuluai back on, and Henry at centre just isn't a good option if the opponents have attacking punch there (or a half who can take advantage as Mullen did).

Tomkins was not good, neither was Johnson. Tomkins pegging the ball at Henry's shoulder from short range and Johnson passing the ball behind Tomkins at the start of the game was what gave the knights all their momentum. Both Tomkins and Johnson had 3 on 2 situations where the outside knights defenders just stayed out and Tomkins and Johnson both didn't know what to do and turned back inside to step ten times on the same blade of grass. Johnson running into the ref standing where they always do from scrums costing his team a try. Tomkins throwing a forward pass and when that gets missed an intercept with the game on the line.

He was their best again. It amazes me how people can be such poor judges of footballers. He has the highest work rate of a fullback I've ever seen and naturally the odd mistake will follow. The Warriors would be vying for the spoon without him. Has had a great debut season.

Some people will just never admit they're wrong.

There wasn't much competition, but while he wasn't awful, he also wasn't close to our best

He wasn't good or bad. Better then Johnson for mine. But still didn't really cause too much trouble. The wingers were the stars in that game. Some seriously ridiculous tries scored.

Bullshit back mate, are you saying goalkicking didn't make a difference, ignoring everything else, if Townsend had kicked 5 from 5 we win 30-28, it's simple maths.
