If we can get confirmation from at least 20 people I'll talk to the powers that be about a bus.

maybe we should start asking for confirmations, bookings and deposits by mid January and possibly create a new "sticky" thread.

If the commitment isn't there by supporters there's no real point in going through with it. I'm sure 4 months is enough time to make a decision and pay a deposit.

Confirmations are needed first and foremost. If people can reply with something a bit more substantial than "I'm in" ;-) I can work from the numbers and see what sort of bookings etc need to be made.

hey Hellchick its 4hrs non stop....but add in stopages plus a bus full of people youll probably find it will take 5-6hrs

You can also fly with regional express which takes 1 hour and will set you back around $100 if you book earlier enough.......

There are quite a few places to stay. Why not go on the bus? Its actually not too bad a trip. ;-)

Thats the accomodation guide for an idea. Depending on numbers and who wants to stay there I'll see if we can't organise group accomodation. I know there is a backpacker hostel and plenty of hotels and motels.

There WILL be a bus going if we can get numbers. I'm sure a few will go.

Hey guys just to help you all out alittle bit, my friend owns the Coachman Hotel/Motel in Parkes (im not trying to give him a plug) but its probably the best Hotel in town. It's situated in the middle of town and 5min drive/15 min walk to Pioneer Oval and has really good amenities - but be quick as the Eels team took up residency there when they played cronulla in 02 so i would presume they'll take the majority of the rooms again.....
