SBW and Ramadan

Regardless of what you think of SBW or Islam, that effort on the park today without food and water was pretty darn exceptional. Surely, he must be taking some sort of nutrients if not eating. How would the Roosters plan for him over that month?

He's allowed to eat before a set time each day and after another (officially sunrise and sunset, but those time s are governed by some islamic calendar, not the actual times). Providing he gets up nice and early he'd be able to take in all the fluids and nutrients he'd need in the morning.

As for the roosters planning around him, besides perhaps reducing his cardio training during day sessions I don't reckon they'd really have to adjust too much for him

You know that it's not a 24 hour a day fast right?

El Masri was humble.
He just didn't see the need to constantly remind people that he was.

I wasn't aware also that SBW was writing all these articles about ramadan and fasting.

I guess I am just stupid in thinking that the media are simply more interested in writing stories about the biggest name in the game instead of some plodder winger

Praise SBW sure, but El Masri was no plodder
He was a tremendous athlete and others opinions of SBW or his efforts should not diminish El Masri's achievements

Don't sink to the depths others sink to mate

After all, as you've pointed out SBW is no more singing his own praises as Hezem did

I have the upmost respect for them both as should every Rugby League fan
